Tarte Color Explosion is a slightly cool-toned, medium green with a metallic finish. It is a limited edition eyeshadow.
Color Explosion is a medium-dark emerald green with very subtle, warm undertones and cooler green shimmer. It appeared to almost straddle cool/warm to my eye--it went warmer/cooler depending on what I paired it with. The pigmentation was opaque in a single layer. The texture was smooth, creamy, and a bit denser compared to most shades in the palette, but it didn't cross into the territory where it was too thick or stiff to work with using brushes. It lasted nicely for eight hours on me before creasing a touch.
