Smashbox Fairplay Be Legendary Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.10 oz.) is a very light lavender with a strong white base paired with a satin finish. It was supposed to be matte, but it definitely took a couple of hours for the shine to wear it down to more of a matte finish in my experience.
The Be Legendary formula is supposed to have "rich, vibrant color" that is long-wearing and moisturizing. The consistency was smooth, creamy, and non-tacky but still emollient enough to glide across the lips with ease. It was comfortable to wear for the four and a half hours it lasted, and I felt like it kept my lips hydrated. The consistency was smooth without being too firm in the tube, so it didn't drag and applied fairly evenly to my lips. The biggest issue I had with this shade was that it tended to look "cracked" as the color pulled apart noticeably wherever I had stronger lip lines. It lasted for three hours on me before fading unevenly enough that it would need a reapplication. The formula was neither drying nor hydrating on me.
