Rare Beauty Nearly Berry Stay Vulnerable Liquid Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.1 oz.) is a medium-dark plum with subtle, warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. Of the shades released thus far, this shade seemed a little wetter--it took longer to dry down and turn to a powder-like finish compared to other shades, though it was still a quicker-setting product overall.
It had medium, buildable coverage that seemed naturally inclined to diffuse and sheer out rather than build up, so it was best applied as a sheerer layer and then build up a second layer after the first layer had dried down. The consistency was lightweight, airy, and more mousse-like, which helped it spread well across the skin and blend out well along the edges.
I preferred a fluffy, synthetic brush for getting the most even edge as it gave me more time to work than if I used my fingertips as the formula was quick-drying. It creased noticeably after five hours of wear when worn at mostly opaque coverage (built up) and seven and a half hours when worn at semi-sheer coverage.
