Heartbeat is a muted, medium-dark burgundy with strong, warm undertones and a matte finish. The eyeshadow had rich color coverage in a single layer that was just shy of full opacity. The consistency was soft, blendable, and not too powdery nor too firmly pressed into the pan, so it was easy to work with and wasn't prone to fallout. It wore well for nine hours before fading visibly on me.
