NARS Bumpy Ride Powder Blush

NARS Powder Blush is a blush that retails for $30.00 and contains 0.16 oz. ($187.50 per ounce). There are 169 shades in our database.

Editor's Review

From NARS’ website, their blush formula is described as “beautifully pigmented” and “soft [and] blendable.” NARS' blushes, since they've been released in such a massive range of shades over the years, can vary from shade to shade to some degree. Most shades are pigmented with firmer, slightly stiffer consistencies that can also run on the thinner side, which allows greater control when picking up product but some of the more matte shades could be a bit more blendable or easier to work with.

Some of the more newly-released shades have softer, more yielding textures that are a bit creamier and are easier to blend out, though most of NARS' blushes are fairly blendable. The wear typically ranges from eight to nine hours with a few shades falling above or below this range.

If you want another Kiko Milano dupe for Orgasm, it will be Kiko Milano Unexpected Blush in Shade 03.

Looks much deeper online and is described as dark, but its not...I am a medium to medium tan and its more of a highlighter on my face. Didn't like it at all. Wasted my money.

I hope Nars never discontinue this color. This color is a beautiful bright yellow-orange (not coral) which tends to look lovely and somewhat natural and sun-kissed on my Caramel complexion. Although a coral shade can look nice, the golden orange undertone of Taj Mahal is a sure thing. While it is shimmery, I would recommend to use less during the day. However, I feel this intense color can be worn as a everyday color on tan, deep, and rich complexions. I also think this color would look beautiful on redheads.

I really wanted to love this blush--I do like it, but it didn't live up to the hype for me. The shimmery-ness of this product seems to be a common point of contention, but I didn't find it to be as shimmery as I'd hoped. It's buildable, which is nice, but I think I'd prefer a little more pigment--it just seems to show up very light on me, and the peachy-tone doesn't "pop" as I'd hoped. A good sized pan and amount of product for the cost, nicely packaged.

If I had to choose the only one blush to use for the rest of my life this would be it. It can be worn sheer or build up to full opacity. I personally find this blush more luminous than frosty. It dosen't highlight my pores although I don't have large pores to begin with. That being said in my opinion compared to Benefit coralista, coralista is more frosty and it enlarged my pores horribly. I passed this one to a friend because I absolutely disliked how my skin looked. I felt like I put highlight not a blush. I would definitely recommend Orgasm blush over Corallista. Nars orgasm just gives so much life to my face. I can wear just some mascara, clear brow gel, lipstick and this blush and feel like million bucks.

Looks so light, and it is -- sort of. This blush is so very pigmented that the color payoff is truly there. It leaves the most delicious, natural sheen too. Very happy with this and I never expected something this shade would work for me.

I loved the pigment in this product. It blends easily on my skin and makes my cheeks pop.

I've been using this blush for many years. I love it because the color is so perfect, so pretty, so natural. It goes on beautifully, very easy to control the amount applied, and it blends well. The color stays on all day. The only negative is the cost, which is ridiculously high, but it does last a very long time. I've tried finding a less expensive dupe, but nothing has ever really come close.

I got the smaller version when I became a VIB Rouge and I really do like it. I feel like it compliments my skin well (I'm African American) and its buildable without looking or feeling cakey. I also was thinking about getting a larger version of it because I do really like the color and I'm not a HUGE blush fan. Its a $30 blush which hurts my pockets but the larger version would last for a really long time because you aren't using a lot of it everyday. I would use a stippling brush to apply it; a stippling brush allows for more control over the amount of blush you put on. I would highly recommend this product.

I'm not a big blush person. I used pretty much just Orgasm or a peachy color from a drugstore brand. For reference, I am pale with red hair and blue eyes. I loved the look of Exhibit A whenever I saw it but there was no way in hell I was going to try it on. I was finally convinced by a makeup artist/store employee to give it a go. He insisted it is actually pretty flattering on everyone (he also said it was made for Grace Jones!). So I let him put it on me and you know what? It was incredible. I didn't look clownish, or even that i was wearing blush. It looks so natural on my skin like I have a natural flush on the apples of my cheeks. Looks can be deceiving but I pretty much only use this blush at this point and I will be buying it again when I run out.

I got a very tiny compact of this (the size of a Nars single eyeshadow) as my VIB Rouge welcome gift for 2016. This is a beautiful shade - sort of a warm raspberry red that I think would be flattering on just about everyone. I am seriously contemplating buying a full size of this, though I doubt I actually need it and I never seem to finish up any makeup products save for skin care and foundations. But this is worth having and not like any other blush I own.

Love me a bold blush. Also doubles as an ultra trendy eyeshadow now that marsala is "in". I can see how some people would be intimidated by such a loud blush, especially on a fair skin tone. I definitely have to use a very light hand, but I love the end result.

I have two Nars blushers one in Dolce Vita and the other in Orgasm. Dolce Vita is just lovely it goes on smoothly and lasts all day long (it deserve 5 stars), as for Orgasm for some reason it wouldn't stick on my face unless I wear moisturizer which is weird since my other blushers work perfectly although I never wear foundation.

This is my all-time favorite blush. I am a golden tan skin tone (approx MAC NC42) and this color is actually very natural on me. since i already have a good amount of color in my skin, Gilda looks more like a soft peachy-pink on me. i often get compliments daily. And of course, Nars blushes last FOREVER, so the price point s irrelevant for me. :) MUST BUY!

One of my favourite blushers, Taj Mahal by Nars is a super flattering orange shade with a beautiful golden finish. It's so easy to use, highly pigmented and long wearing (approx 7 hours). The more you blend out the more it actually works as a good highlighter too. Love this!

I find it easy to overdo due to the pigmentation, but very easy to apply and to sheer out with my 182 kabuki by MAC. I really cannot find anything wrong with this blush. If you are olive/warm toned you will love this blush! It you have pores or hate shimmer, I would suggest trying it on before buying. I personally have no issues with it. A great value for the price!

Gorgeous. A bit more red that your average coral blush, so very unique. Bright, but not over-the-top. Looks great on fair skin--just apply with a light hand.

First tried the lip gloss in this color and found that it is one of the three best nudes for me. Then I read Christine's review of the blush but kept finding my local stores out of this blush. I finally got ahold of this and really like it. I have many similar shades with shimmer but love that this is so much more natural and does not accentuate pores.

I think my experience of this blush is the same as others. The colour is gorgeous but the payoff, not so much. Like Benefit's Coralista, Nars' Orgasm blush is just a bit too glittery to wear every day and it is really sheer, so the more you add to get colour, the more glitter you add to your cheeks. Still, it's a high quality product and I can see why its so popular.

A bit overhyped. The glitter was fairly noticable, but the lovely peachy coral didn't show through. I wish the base color was more noticeable and the wear time better.

When I first applied this blush I understood my everyone wanted/loved it. On my olive skin it made my look like a tropical goddess. Unfortunately, the higher shimmer content keeps me from wearing it very often during the day. But it is a beautiful color.

Liberte was my first NARS blush purchase and I am so glad I have it. It is such a beautiful fall color to wear on my NC25-35 skin. It's extremely pigmented so I use a duo fiber brush to apply it. I don't have any problem blending it and it stays on all day. I think the subtle sheen helps a lot to help the color look full of life and not flat.

One of my favorite blushes. A perfect example of why Nars blushes are so popular. I am very fair and can easily blend this blush into a light wash or layer it on more for a more defined cheek. Love it!

Some people love it, some people don't. I think it has a beautiful sheen to the cheeks, but some people think it is to shimmery . It can be light on darker skin tones, and some people with fair/light skin and/or people with red undertones, think this blush is too red. I have a light skin myself, but i have found a way to work with this blush, it is very buildable, so when i just put it on the cheeks lightly, it will have just the perfect sheen with a little bit of coral/pink color to it. So now i just really like it, it is a healthy looking color on the skin, and i just really love the glow!

I really love this blush! I think this is a great blush for fair and light skin, because it isn't an intense color, it just warms up your face beautiful. It gives you that J. Lo glow. And it's not glittery, but gives your skin just a beautiful sheen.
