Merit Mood is a moderately warm-toned, medium-dark plum with a glossy finish. It is a permanent blush that retails for $28.00 and contains 0.31 oz.
Merit Mood Flush Balm Cream Blush ($28.00 for 0.31 oz.) is a medium-dark plum with subtle, warm undertones and a glossy finish. It never fully dried down and remained fairly emollient to the touch (so by no means transfer-resistant), so that glossy finish was very noticeable!
It had sheer coverage, which was as marketed, and could be built up to semi-sheer to medium coverage if desired. The texture had a lot of slip and felt very emollient to the touch, so it was spreadable and blendable, but I was surprised--and happy!--to see that it did retain its color when applied and didn't just spread away to nothing. The product worked well over bare skin as well as on top of foundation as it did not lift up base products. It stayed on nicely for six hours before fading noticeably.

Soft and flexible, this balm blush glides on beautifully. Micro-fine pigment powders deposit a touch of color without covering up the skin’s natural texture. Made with low-weight emollients that won’t clog pores, the formula has a light, balmy finish for a long-lasting glow that’s never cakey.
