Melt Cosmetics It's Showtime ElecTRIP Lip Paint ($19.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a brighter, medium purple with warmer, pink undertones and a metallic finish. The product began as a thin, fluid liquid and dried down to a mostly transfer-resistant finish that was more like "matte" metallic as a result.
The shimmer intensified by gently rubbing one's lips after the product dried down as well (not atypical of this type of formula). It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which went on somewhat evenly. It left a very strong, berry-ish stain behind that went on and on--it was almost immediately, intensely staining. It had a clingier feel while worn, and it seemed moderately drying over time; it wasn't doing my drier lips (from the brand's regular lipstick formula) any favors at all. It pretty much lasted until I ate something oily or removed it on purpose, and even then, it was a struggle to remove, so longevity was certainly there!
