A Medley of Mauves #2 is a pinky-purple with a sparkling, frosted finish. This one was very sparkly, and incredibly lovely to look at when swatched, but it definitely resulted in fall out when worn (not just during application, which you can clean up before you head out the door!). Applied dry, it's sheer, and applied damp, it was semi-opaque. The consistency was powdery. Fyrinnae Meerkat (P, $6.80) is darker, purpler. MAC Pinkluxe #3 (P) is slightly purpler. MAC Neo Nebula (LE, $21.00) is lighter. Inglot #445 (P, $6.00) is darker, purpler. See comparison swatches.

Claims / Ingredients

The Mineralize Eyeshadow formula is supposed to have "low-to-medium coverage" when applied dry and "more intense coverage and color" when used wet. Most shades have color payoff that is true to the brand's description: semi-sheer to semi-opaque when used dry and semi-opaque to opaque when used with a dampened brush. I tend to find that they apply more smoothly and evenly with a more metallic finish with a dampened brush as well. Some shades can be a little too dry or dusty and do not apply as well with a dry brush. The wear is typically a bit less than average on me--six to seven hours.
