KVD Beauty Black No. 1 is a slightly cool-toned, medium-dark gray with a sparkle finish. It is a discontinued eyeshadow that retails for $21.00 and contains 0.1 oz.
Kat Von D Black No. 1 Metal Crush Eyeshadow ($21.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as an "iridescent gunmetal." It's a muted, medium-dark charcoal gray with cool undertones and larger silver sparkle. This shade was a little "chunky" in a way, as the sparkle gave it a noticeable layer of texture and seemed prone to crumbling during application, rather than binding together--even with used with a flat and firm brush. With a tacky base, I think it would work better, or possibly with a damp brush (not sure if these can be used wet, though). MAC Knight Divine (P, $16.00) is darker. NARS Bad Behaviour (LE, $24.00) is less shimmery. bareMinerals Abracadabra (LE, ) is less shimmery, lighter. MAC Bao Bao's Jewels #5 (LE, ) is less shimmery. Marc Jacobs Beauty The Enigma #2 (P, ) is less shimmery. theBalm Surf's Up (LE, $16.00) is less shimmery. Stila Black Diamond (P, ) is less shimmery, darker. NARS Jardin Perdu (Left) (LE, $24.00) is lighter. MAC Say It Isn't So (LE, $21.00) is more shimmery, lighter. NYX Smoke & Mirrors (P, $6.00) is darker.
