The mattes seemed slightly better than recent releases by the brand--not quite as powdery--but the shimmers were more of a mixed bag (which is consistent with recent releases) where they could be too stiff/firm to work with using a dry brush and had to be applied with fingertips or a dampened brush to go on evenly.
