Editor's Review

Charlotte Tilbury 1975 Red Matte Revolution Lipstick ($32.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a brightened, medium-dark orange-red with warm undertones and a satin finish. It's not quite matte, though it's not particularly shiny, while the texture is creamier, light-to-medium in weight, and glides on with smooth, even, and opaque color coverage. The color lasted for over six hours and was lightly drying after four and a half hours of wear. Hourglass Raven (P, $28.00) is darker. NARS Mysterious Red (LE, $25.00) is darker, cooler. MAC Mangrove (LE, $17.00) is lighter. MAC True Red (LE, $17.00) is lighter, brighter, warmer, glossier. NARS Annabella (P, $32.00) is brighter, glossier. NARS Rita (P, $32.00) is darker, glossier. MAC Barbecue (LE, $17.00) is brighter. NARS Carmen (P, $32.00) is glossier. Marc Jacobs Beauty Rei of Light (212) (P, $30.00) is darker, more muted, warmer. ColourPop Succulent (P, $6.00) is cooler, less glossy. Urban Decay Temper (P, $22.00) is darker, more muted. Bite Beauty Candied Maple (LE, $24.00) is darker, glossier. Claims / Ingredients

Create the illusion of fuller, wider lips with my Matte Revolution – for lips that look lit from within. It’s a trick I use all the time on photo shoots, using lighting trickery, pigments and powders, and have been working for years to re-create this effect in the slick of 1 lipstick. Now everyone can create this full, matte lip effect in a long-lasting, buildable, hydrating formula – it’s the matte lipstick of the future! Exclusively enriched with Lipstick Tree extract which protects lips and is a natural anti-oxidant, and Orchid Extract which soothes and hydrates for a soft, buildable cashmere finish. Available in 10 modern-matte shades for all skin tones – 1 for each of my signature looks. Amazing Grace is inspired by Grace Kelly, a vintage tea rose for pretty, polished perfection a la Nicole Kidman and Miranda Kerr.
