Chanel No. 03 Rouge Allure Velvet ($37.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark, slightly muted red with cool, pink undertones and a soft sheen. It had semi-opaque coverage--plenty of pigmentation that it covered the lips with even coverage but my lip freckle was still visible. The consistency was smooth, velvety, and comfortable to apply and to wear as the lipstick glided on but didn't move around over time. The lipstick wore well for six hours and was neither drying nor hydrating.
