Chanel Etonnante (131) is a very warm-toned, medium-dark coral with a frost finish. It is a permanent lipstick that retails for $38.00 and contains 0.12 oz.
Etonnante (131) Rouge Allure Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a medium-dark coral-orange with a frosted finish. It had opaque color coverage, but the frost finish made lips look a little dry--almost like it exaggerated the natural texture of the lips. Normally, Rouge Allures leave lips looking smoother and healthier, but that was definitely not the case with this newer finish for me. This shade wore well for four and a half hours, and it was a smidgen on the drying side for me. Guerlain Pamplelune (P, $35.00) is less frosted. Guerlain Quand Vient l’Ete (P, $35.00) is similar. Chanel Teheran (P, $34.00) is a touch brighter. See comparison swatches.
