Editor's Review

BUXOM Satin Seduction Eyeshadow ($12.00 for 0.05 oz.) is described as a "bisque luster." It's a brightened, light beige with warm, peachy undertones and a metallic sheen. It had fairly good pigmentation with a soft, blendable consistency that was slightly dusty. The color adhered well to bare skin and lasted for eight hours before fading slightly. Make Up For Ever I514 Pink Ivory (P, $21.00) is less shimmery. bareMinerals Mixologist (P, ) is more shimmery. MAC Phresh Out #1 (LE, ) is more shimmery. MAC Apricot Blend #1 (LE, ) is less shimmery. Dior Jardin #2 (P, ) is lighter. Tom Ford Beauty Pink Glow #1 (LE, ) is less shimmery. MAC Satin Ochre (Left) (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker. Makeup Geek Shimma Shimma (P, $5.99) is darker, warmer. Chanel Poesie #2 (LE, ) is darker. MAC Just Gleaming (LE, $20.00) is more shimmery. theBalm High Tide (LE, $16.00) is less shimmery. LORAC Snow (P, ) is more pigmented, darker, cooler. LORAC Vanilla (LE, ) is more pigmented, darker. Buxom Silk Sheets (P, $12.00) is lighter. See comparison swatches / compare dupes side-by-side.

I've had this shadow (purchased along with 5 others to make up a value palette) for a few years and it's a great eyeshadow - one of those "must have" colours that works as a "no makeup" eyemakeup or as a highlighter for brow, inner corner or all over the lid. It is, as Christine describes it, a warm light beige with a sheen but my pan looks very different to what is pictured here - the photo here looks far more pinky-peach than mine, which is more of a champagne colour - really a warm beige indeed. For a shimmery shadow, another point in its favour is that it doesn't look crepe-y or create or highlight "texture" issues on my lids.
