She's That Girl

Patrick Ta She’s That Girl Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush ($34.00 for 0.37 oz.) contains a mid-tone pink with warmer undertones in a cream form as well as a powder form. The cream blush is designed to be layered on top of the powder blush to give it a more skin-like finish, and the two are very similar in actual tone and depth.

The cream blush has sheerer coverage and a dewier finish, while the powder blush has more pigmentation and a satin finish, though the powder blush was longer-wearing.

She's That Girl (Crème)

She’s That Girl (Crème) is a brighter, medium pink with soft, warm undertones and barely-there gold pearl. The texture was lightweight, thin, and emollient; it felt like a more traditional cream blush, though it became less emollient and less dewy as I applied and blended it out on my skin. I didn’t have any issues with it lifting up base products when I tested application over foundation.

It had semi-sheer coverage that could be built up to medium coverage if desired (with a second layer). When applied over the powder blush, it added a touch of sheen but didn’t alter the color and wear seemed to be about the same with or without it over the powder. When the cream blush was worn on its own, it lasted for seven and a half hours on me before fading and migrating noticeably.

Formula Overview

-

The cream blush had a lightly creamy, moderately emollient consistency that applied evenly and blended out well over bare skin as well as over liquid foundation. In the duo format, the cream blush is actually designed to be layered over the powder (rather than typically under it) to add "life" back to the skin. It layered well on top of the blush to add a bit of shine without turning it into a full-on cream.

The pigmentation was sheer and buildable to semi-sheer to medium coverage, which seemed in line with the brand's marketing (though they could do a better job describing it). On its own, it lasted around six hours before fading/migrating noticeably. When I wore it on top of the powder blush, it seemed to shorten wear by a half hour to an hour.

She's That Girl (Powder)

She’s That Girl (Powder) is a medium pink with subtle, warm undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-opaque, buildable color payoff that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out with ease. The consistency felt velvety, dense, and more substantial, yet it really was exceptionally blendable. I felt like it had a subtle sheen–very skin-like–once blended out. It wore well for nine hours before fading visibly.

Formula Overview

-

The powder blush was supposed to be "pigmented" and "weightless." The consistency was soft, lightly powdery in the pan, but it had a smoother, denser feel to it that was almost velvety without being overly firm. The powder picked up well with a brush and yielded semi-opaque to opaque color payoff in a single layer, which applied evenly and blended out easily. The formula lasted around nine hours on its own, but layering the coordinating cream shortened wear by half hour to an hour.

This blush is quite deceiving in the sense that it looks so much darker and deeper in the pan than it does on your cheeks Christine. When shades are these colours, I think it’s better that they are buildable.
I just don’t know how a cream and a powder would work side by side.
