Pat McGrath Coraliason & Under Your Spell OpuLUST Lip Glosses Reviews & Swatches
Coraliason
Pat McGrath Coraliason OpuLUST Lip Gloss ($30.00 for 0.15 oz.) has a peachy-coral base with strong, warm orange undertones paired with pink-to-lavender shifting sparkle and shimmer throughout paired with a high-shine, glossy finish. It had medium coverage in a single layer that could be built up to semi-opaque coverage with second layer.
The gloss felt smooth and lightweight with good spreadability, so the color went on evenly and the shimmer/sparkle dispersed well across my lips. There was some product that sank into my deeper lip lines, though, which was just barely noticeable in person (the shiny finish distracted from it). The plusher feel of the gloss ensured that I didn’t feel the shimmer/sparkle when I pressed my lips together. It wore nicely for four hours and was moisturizing over time.

Formula Overview
$30.00/0.15 oz. - $200.00 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to "seamlessly glide" onto lips with "multidimensional sparkle with a smooth, non-sticky finish" that has a "shimmering, move-resistant glasslike finish" and "otherworldly opacity." The pigmentation varied from semi-sheer to mostly opaque depending on the shade, and "otherworldly opacity" combined with the brand's promotional images and swatches all points in the direction of "pigmented'," and I think there are at least a couple of shades that were designed as sheerer on purpose but lack any description suggesting they were different than other shades in the range.
The texture was smooth, mostly non-sticky, and comfortable to wear with a plush, cream-gel feel, so it was more substantial but not heavy to wear at all. Each shade packed a very high-shine, ultra-metallic look that never felt gritty or textured from all of the included sparkle/shimmer. I had very light to subtle settling into my lip lines with a few shades, though not enough to be noticeable in person. They wore between four and five hours on average, and the formula was hydrating to wear. I didn't find that there was much in the way of shimmer/sparkle migration over time (beyond my lips). The formula had a sweet, creme brulee scent to me but no discernible taste.

Under Your Spell
Pat McGrath Under Your Spell OpuLUST Lip Gloss ($30.00 for 0.15 oz.) is a muted, medium pink with warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish with flecks of pink, violet, and gold as the dominant sparkle hues. The texture was smooth, plush, and non-sticky that applied evenly to my lips and had good spreadability, so the product and shimmer distributed well over my lips.
The pigmentation was semi-opaque in a single layer, but there was slight product that sank into my deeper lip lines, though I didn’t feel like I could see it in person (just in the close-ups). It stayed on well for four and a half hours and felt hydrating while worn.

Dang, I knew Coraliason looked familiar! Fenty Spacesuit! Which I have.
Having bought 2 already this past week in Glowing Garnet and Dreamscape, I’m going to chill for a while.
Hi! Lovely review as always Christine! I just have to ask, are you sure these are permanent? According to Pat, on her own Instagram, they are LE. š https://imgur.com/a/nV4Rk3m
I’ll ask again, but I asked Pat McGrath PR via email when these were announced, and they replied that they were permanent.
Under Your Spell is part of the nude skin package I went for. It should be here in a week or so. Iām glad! I love it!
Subtle, but beautiful shades.
