Natasha Denona Industrial, Glam Green, Cloudy Blue, Pinija, Tropic Eyeshadows Reviews, Photos, Swatches

Natasha Denona Eyeshadow
Industrial (45M), Glam Green (18M), Cloudy Blue (17M), Pinija (85P), Tropic (08V), Skin (75S), Cream (21S), Flamingo (57V), Sephora Blonde Ambition Eyeliner, Flamingo (57V), Pinija (85P)

Natasha Denona Eyeshadow ($29.00 for 0.08 oz.) comes in 66 shades with four distinct finishes (Matte, Duo-Chrome, Metallic, and Sparkling). According to the brand, the eyeshadow formula is supposed to have “full, rich and intense color that won’t fade out, be “long-lasting,” and smooth. The majority of the shimmery shades were very pigmented with a soft consistency that was something just right and other times a little prone to crumbling/loosening in the pan, while the mattes were smooth but quite powdery, which resulted it color that didn’t adhere to bare skin as readily. The texture of most shades is soft, blendable, and most of the shimmery shades I’ve tested applied well to bare skin. The wear was fairly consistent, but there was some variance from shade to shade (which didn’t seem related to finish). The wear has ranged from five to eight hours, depending on the shade. Primer helps with longevity, adding two to three hours to the shade’s no-primer wear time, but they seem like shorter-wearing eyeshadows compared to most powder formulas I’ve tried.

Check out my first review for more depth about the formula as well as a pricing breakdown for singles compared to palettes.

Industrial (45M) is a dark, taupe brown with subtle, warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic finish. It had rich color payoff with a soft, smooth, and dense consistency that blended well without being too loose or prone to fall out when applied. The powder eyeshadow started to show slight creasing after seven and a half hours of wear. Dior Moonlight #4 (LE, ) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (95% similar). Dose of Colors Slinky (P, $20.00) is darker (85% similar). Chanel Silver Screen (822) (LE, $36.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Divergent Diverge (LE, ) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). Zoeva Nostalgic (PiP, ) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Make Up For Ever ME554 Gunmetal (DC, $21.00) is less shimmery, warmer (90% similar). Charlotte Tilbury The Rock Chick #3 (PiP, ) is more shimmery, darker (90% similar). MAC Full Orbit #4 (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery, cooler (85% similar). Urban Decay Robbery (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). NARS Stud (DC, $25.00) is warmer (85% similar). NARS L'Amour, Toujours L'Amour #11 (DC, $25.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Urban Decay Vaporize (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (85% similar). MAC Bye Bye Bahamas (LE, $17.00) is less shimmery, warmer (85% similar). Makeup Geek Moondust (P, $6.00) is less shimmery, darker (80% similar). Natasha Denona Gray-Brown (38M) (P, $29.00) is cooler (80% similar). MAC Silver Dawn (P, $20.00) is less shimmery, darker (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Glam Green (18M) is a muted, light-medium green-ish gray with cool undertones and a metallic sheen. It had semi-opaque color payoff with a soft, looser consistency that kicked up excess in the pan and sheered out slightly when blended out. On me, it wore well for seven hours before creasing. Inglot #454 (P, $7.00) is lighter, brighter (90% similar). Chanel Tisse Venitien #3 (PiP, ) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). MAC Modern Pewter (LE, $20.00) is darker (85% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty Funny Bunny (LE, ) is less shimmery, lighter (80% similar). MAC Silver Birch (LE, $21.00) is darker, cooler (80% similar). NARS Filth and Fury (LE, $25.00) is less shimmery, warmer (80% similar). Colour Pop Thingamabob (LE, $5.00) is more shimmery, lighter, cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Cloudy Blue (17M) is a muted, medium-dark blue with a golden shift and metallic finish. It had good pigmentation with a slightly loose texture in the pan, where the powder dislodged from the pan easily. It is best applied by pressing the color into the lid and lightly blending along the edges. The eyeshadow wore well for seven hours on me. L'Oreal Endless Sea (P, $7.99) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Urban Decay Shattered (P, $19.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). MAC Bikers & Babes (LE, ) is darker, more muted, less pigmented (90% similar). Urban Decay Freeze (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Pretty Vulgar Fancy (PiP, ) is less shimmery (90% similar). Tarte Art Deco (LE, ) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (85% similar). MAC Sky (LE, $21.00) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Giorgio Armani Jade Reflection (35) (P, $39.00) is lighter (85% similar). Urban Decay Crux (P, $20.00) is more shimmery, darker (80% similar). Colour Pop Take Me Higher (LE, $5.00) is darker, cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Pinija (85P) is a deep, reddish-brown with warm undertones and a green shift paired with a frosted sheen. It was richly pigmented with a soft, smooth, and blendable consistency that was slightly dense but not too firm or too loose in the pan. I noticed it was beginning to crease after seven and a half hours of wear. MAC When in Rio (LE, $17.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Urban Decay Lounge (P, $19.00) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). Colour Pop Sassy (LE, $5.00) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). Ardency Inn Peacock (DC, $21.00) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). Anastasia Peacock (DC, $12.00) is darker (85% similar). Huda Beauty Emerald #4 (LE, ) is darker, more muted, cooler (85% similar). Makeup Geek Insomnia (P, $12.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). Kat Von D On the Road (P, $16.00) is lighter, warmer (85% similar). Too Faced Girly (LE, $16.00) is warmer (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Tropic (08V) is a dark green-leaning teal with fine gold pearl. It darkened quite a bit when applied to the skin (several shades compared to how it appeared in the pan!). It had good color payoff but was harder to blend out, especially around the edges, as it had a thinner consistency that tended to adhere strongly wherever it first landed. This shade showed signs of fading after eight hours. Cle de Peau Les Annees Folles #5 (LE, ) is less shimmery, more muted (90% similar). Maybelline Never Fade Jade (P, $6.99) is less shimmery, lighter, brighter (90% similar). Fyrinnae Gender Bent (P, $6.75) is lighter, brighter (85% similar). Too Faced Too Glam (LE, $16.00) is more shimmery (85% similar). NARS Tropic (P, $19.00) is less shimmery, less pigmented, warmer (85% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Whoa, that’s one very complex eye look! Stunning, but with the way everything blends so seamlessly, I wouldn’t even attempt to do something similar!
That said, I do have dupes for all but Glam Green, and the color of that beauty of an eyeshadow seems very uncommon and hard to dupe! Wish it rated better, but I will be on the lookout for a better quality dupe of it.

These shades are gorgeous. But, I just can’t justify the cost when there are so many quality shadows out there these days that wear better and look beautiful as well. I really appreciate you taking the time to review these Christine and I love the eye looks as always! 🙂

I hear ya, Nicole! I can imagine your stash, and knowing some of what you’ve purchased recently, I think you’re good 🙂

Oh my, I’m a sucker for gold shades, especially if they’re infused with more unique colors. Love Cloudy Blue and Tropic, just worried about the wear time on my oily lids, even with primer. Will probably start off small, with a 5 pan from Beautylish, since they accept returns, and see how it goes from there.

These are more unique shades by the brand. And I love them – the Cloudy Blue, Glam Green and Industrial are all versatile colours. The eye look you have created is sensational Christine.

Beautiful look. I can probably copy it with colors from my Sleek palettes ?. These seem to be a bit all over the place. I wonder if the ravers just aren’t testing the wear for long enough.

Cloudy Blue is extremely pretty, I think, and this from one who is very sceptic towards blue eyeshadow. I really like Industrial and Glam Green as well. Now I have to check if I can but things from the brand online. Darn! But these are permanent, so there’s no hurry.

I really like the colors Industrial, Glam Green, and Cloudy Blue — but I have three dupes for Industrial, and Glam Green and Cloudy Blue don’t perform so well!
