Chanel Lame Acier (37) Ombre Premiere Laque ($36.00 for 0.2 oz.) is a deep, grayish-pewter with subtle, warm undertones and cooler pearl throughout. When applied and sheered out, the warmth was more apparent, while when it was worn at higher coverage, it looked more silvery-taupe than pewter.
It had opaque color coverage in a single layer with the included applicator, though I felt like in practice, it was more light-medium, buildable coverage, which was in line with the marketing, because of how thin and more watery the texture was. Similarly, the product applied better layered up, as using the included applicator to get that higher opacity resulted in a thicker layer that took a little long to dry down and wasn't as easy to blend out (it was almost too much product that was too wet initially). Once the formula dried down, it was transfer-resistant and stayed in place well for nine and a half hours.
