Natasha Denona Andrea & Maria I Need a Nude Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Andrea (10NB)
Natasha Denona Andrea (10NB) I Need a Nude Lipstick ($25.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a light, peachy coral with moderate, warm undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, which applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without tugging during application. The texture was lightweight, lightly creamy without being overly slippery, and was comfortable to wear.
There was a smidgen of product in my deeper lip lines but not to the point where it was noticeable from a normal viewing distance. It stayed on nicely for four and a half hours and felt lightly hydrating.

Formula Overview
$25.00/0.14 oz. - $178.57 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to "lightweight" with a "creamy" texture and a "softly luminous finish" that feels "deeply hydrating." There was no reference to coverage, but the promotional swatches showed opaque coverage.
The range is broken up into four undertones: Beige (suits neutral, warm, red skin tones), Neutral Beige (suits all skin tones), Neutral Pink (suits all skin tones), and Pink (suits warm and yellow skin tones). The shades also range from very light to deep so that there's one that will "flatter each and every skin tone."
They are pigmented with semi-opaque to opaque coverage in a single layer, and the majority of the shades applied evenly to my lips. They have a denser, more velvety formula that had some creaminess to them without feeling traditionally wet or emollient. The formula has satin-to-cream finish that wears down to a semi-matte finish within two to three hours or can be quickly blotted down if preferred.
I noticed that most shades had a bit of product that sank into my deeper lip lines with it often not being noticeable in person, just in the close-up photos, but lighter shades were more likely to be visible in person as well as in the close-up photos. They wore between four and six hours, were lightly hydrating to non-drying, and wore away evenly. The formula has a fairly strong, sweet vanilla scent but no discernible taste.

Maria (30NP)
Natasha Denona Maria (30NP) I Need a Nude Lipstick ($25.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a darker peach with warm, more orange undertones but muted by some brown paired with a cream finish. The color coverage was nearly opaque in one stroke, which applied fairly evenly but was prone to settling into my lip lines. The consistency felt smooth, lightly creamy, and was comfortable to apply and to wear, but it would likely be better over a lip pencil or primer to soften the settling. It wore well for four hours and felt lightly moisturizing over time.

Andrea and Maria seem to have each other’s corresponding tubes. Like, the tube for one looks like the lip swatch of the other? Very weird!
Anyway, I actually love the lip swatch color of Maria a lot, even if the quality may be less than perfect. With a shade this light, I would need to wear lip liner in a deeper shade anyhow just to make it work.
Andrea is just too bright and pale. I would look like I bit into a powdered donut!
Oh, yes, it was confusing! I photographed the lighter tube thinking it was going to be lighter and was confused with reality!
LOL! Natasha Denona makes sense yet again! π€£
I’m still trying to figure out how that Zendo Palette is supposed to work, a gold shifting coral with a pewter taupe…π€¦π»ββοΈ
I always forget to mention I so appreciate that you take up close images and a full face when it comes to lipstick (or any other product, really).
I find I use it so much.
I often LOVE the shade in up close images but when I see your zoom out, with a full face, I realize the lipstick won’t suit me after all.
It’s a huge help!
Thank you!
So glad it is useful, DVa! π
Too weird. I did not see your comment when I typed mine, but we shared exactly the same observation on the same post. The full face shot is always the deal maker or breaker for me as well.
Your full face photos are so invaluable for me, Christine. Lip swatches alone are helpful, but I get more of a sense of colour value through the full face photos and I get a better idea of what the colour might look like on me. I was originally thinking I might pick one of these up based on quick swatches, but now I see full face photo, I know I can pass. The description for Maria is βneutral pink undertoneβ So not what I would think in terms of a neutral pink whatsoever.
Love to hear it, Wednesday! It’s nice to know they are useful. π Hope you are having a lovely Sunday!
Right!?!
Me too. I was thinking I wanted one at least of these, now I’m good to pass.
This was very helpful. I will pass on these lipsticks, they just wonβt work for me. The only Nude that worked for me so far was CT Bitch Perfect lipstick. I really love your reviews by the way. It helps so very much to see your swatches, & close up pictures of everything you review. And, also, how it looks on you! Thanks.
Thank you so much, Janice <3 *feels the love*
