NARS Orgasm & Dolce Vita Liquid Blushes Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Orgasm
NARS Orgasm Liquid Blush ($30.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is a medium pink with warm, yellow undertones and gold shimmer and sparkle. The pigmentation was buildable from semi-sheer to semi-opaque (two to three layers). The consistency was lightweight, thin but not so watery that it sheered out to nothingness, and spread easily across the skin without disturbing base products. For a liquid blush, I found it easy to work with, especially around the edges. The finish was more shimmery swatched than when I applied it to the skin, though there was still subtle shimmer when I tried it on bare skin as a blush. It wore well for eight hours on me before fading.
The new formula is supposed to “effortlessly glide on[to] skin for a lasting glow” where “one pump delivers the perfect amount of natural-looking color.” It’s supposed to have “buildable” coverage that’s “blendable” and “lasting.” It has a thin, almost watery consistency that spread easily, blended out well, and looked natural in finish on the skin with semi-sheer to medium, buildable coverage. One pump seemed like twice as much product as necessary in my experience, though. I liked using fingertips or a stippling brush for applying the product to cheeks but would dispense on the back of my hand or a metal palette first. It dried down quickly but did not feel immovable, so a little buffing along the edges was still doable. The formula wore between eight to nine hours on me, depending on the shade.

Dolce Vita
NARS Dolce Vita Liquid Blush ($30.00 for 0.50 fl. oz.) is a medium-dark, pinky plum with subtle, warm undertones and a satin shimmer. It had semi-sheer to semi-opaque pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin as well as over liquid/cream foundation. I liked using a brush more for applying over base products, but for applying on bare skin, fingertips or brushes worked just as well. The consistency was thin without being too runny, and it blended out around the edges with little work. This shade wore well for nine hours on me.

The Orgasm blush goes well with the Orgasm lipstick! Love your look -very fresh and pretty!
Thanks, Katherine!
These are so pretty! I’m loving the idea of transforming them into a liquid, just in time for summer. I’ll probably pick up Orgasm because I can’t have enough of that shade 🙂
Awesome to hear! 🙂
Dolce Vita is a really pretty blush, can’t wait to test it out in-store!
It is!
LOVE! NEED 🙁
Hope you can check ’em out!
Hi Christine,
Orgasm looks very pretty. Does it have the same strong gold sheen that the powder version does? Are you wearing a single layer in this shot? I’m NC25 and this looks plenty pigmented for me.
Thanks!
I used 1/4 pump per cheek. I don’t think that this is very shimmery!
Lovely! Any chromium oxide pigments in these?
Sorry, I did not receive any boxes so I do not have photos of boxes to share.
Hi Di! I got one of these in the mail today. Here’s the ingredients list:
Dimethicone, Water, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Adipic Acid / Neopentyl glycol crosspolymer, Vinyl dimethicone / Methicone silsesquioxane crosspolymer, Boron nitride, Propanediol, Peg-10 dimethicone, Isostearic acid, Vanilla tahitensis fruit extract, Cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, Gardenia taitensis flower extract, Tocopherol, Calophyllum inophyllum seed oil, Isopropyl titanium triisostearate, Bis-hydroxyethoxypropyl dimethicone / Peg-2 soy amine / Ipdi copolymer, Disteardimonium hectorite, Butylene glycol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Phenoxyethanol, [+/- (May contain: Mica, Titanium dioxide (CI 77891), Iron oxides (CI 77491), Iron oxides (CI 77492), Iron oxides (CI 77499), Carmine (CI 75470))]
Sorry to be pesty, but not sure I remember how to compare the powder versions to the liquids. There are other powders listed as dupes, but not the Nars powder blushes from which these arose. When I check the dupes of dupes, I realize I’m pretty overduped for dolce vita, if that makes any sense. Still want MAC fever, though…
There is a section right on the review that says “Compare Any Two” – you type in any two shades that you want to compare right there!

Gotcha. Thanks.
This sounds like a more pigmented version of Armani Fluid Sheer–which I love and use as a sheer blush. It’s going to last me forever so I’m not sure if I can justify getting this — but definitely tempting and can’t wait to see your review of the other two shades!
I love Nars blush so I think it’s amazing that they are coming out with liquid blushes
Kayla
I think I will be checking out orgasm. I really love that colour. I have never used a liquid blush, but glad to see its easy to use.
I love that the liquid version of Orgasm does not have the extreme gold sheen that the powder version has, looks really nice on your skin, I’ll give it a try.
Wow! I didn’t think I would care for either of these, but they’re both gorgeous!
I think I love these! Which tool did you use to apply? Could I use my fingers?
You can definitely use fingers! I used fingers and a stippling brush.
Yes!!! I’m such a sucker for NARS blushes and love Orgasm. I have the powder blush and the illuminator and both are awesome.
Nice! Both of these shades! Dolce Vita is definitely my speed, and appears to be very wearable and easy enough to use without issues!
I am really loving these liquid blushes!!!! They are so pretty on you!!!!
I thought I was completely Orgasmed out, but that blush looks incredible. Actually, both shades do! I don’t have any liquid blushes either, so these will be worth a look for sure.
Both of them look pretty and so spring-fresh look on you!! Personally I’d love to try the orgasm one, even if I’m not “mad” about the color which, still, is very wearable. I guess that the liquid formula would suit May aged skin
better than the powder one. But here in Italy……maybe for Xmas…… Maybe!?
I wish you would tell us the launch dates on your posts. I’ve notice so have a hard time figuring them out lately. Especially on the Mac collections
They were available for purchase when I posted the review… no launch date to state!
Your link says it available at Sephora Nordstrom etc but I have been checking everyday.
Thanks
Unfortunately, NARS doesn’t give me a specific date for them!
I’ve been hearing really good things about these but I think your review has sealed the deal! I’m definitely going to pick these up in the future!
I just purchased mine today at sephora and it didn’t com with a pump! It came with a weird end stick on the black lid. Did you have to purchase the pump separately?
Thanks!
Do you think orgasm would work on cool, fair skin tones?
I don’t see why not!
