Medium

Chanel Medium Les Beiges Healthy Glow Luminous Colour ($58.00 for 0.42oz.) is a light-medium, golden brown with warm, yellow undertones and a satin sheen. It had sehmi-sheer pigmentation in one layer, which was buildable to medium coverage with two to three layers. On my skin tone (about light-medium), the color just barely showed up (more noticeable in person than in photos) with a subtle glow–natural and easy-to-wear, so for a true bronzing effect, it seemed like it would suit fair and light skin tones best and be more of a highlighting powder on light-medium and medium skin tones. The texture was soft, silky, and somewhat in the powdery side, so it had a tendency to sheer out a bit on the skin initially. The powder wore well for eight hours on me before fading.

Chanel described the formula as a “powder bronze and highlighter enriched with illuminating pigments” with a “buildable, soft texture.” The brand noted to select a shade lighter than your skin tone for highlighting and darker than your skin tone for bronzing–so it was less of a multi-tasking product and more that one could use it either as a highlighting powder or as a bronzing powder. I think you can get a little illumination and subtle warmth if you choose a shade similar to your skin tone, though, which is the closest to having the best of both worlds.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

I can’t believe how light even the Medium is, even I can wear this color and most bronzers are too dark for me when they say light. I bet a lot of ladies will be disappointed there isn’t a darker tone available.

I think they are trying to straddle highlighting and bronzing, so if you think medium as a highlighter… then it works, but then they need to go darker with more shades.

Hi Christine, are you going to review the eyeshadow palette from this collection? I’m so tempted but there are no reviews for it yet.

What palette are you referring to? When I go to Chanel’s page, I don’t see any eyeshadow palette listed with the bronzers. I don’t expect to purchase anything additional from Chanel for a bit as I just spent a lot on this brand already for this month – so sorry!

Something tells me that this would not show up on me at all…. because I can only very barely make it out on you cheeks! So, applied on NC37, I don’t see it working. And their shade designations have me smh. Deep isn’t deep, medium is only Lt.-medium. Rather confusing.
