NARS’ Powder Blush formula is described as “beautifully pigmented, natural, healthy-looking color” with a “blendable application.” It was intensely pigmented with a really soft, smooth, and almost velvety texture–it was denser and less thin compared to a lot of NARS’ blushes, especially as it wasn’t chocked full of shimmer (those tend to be denser). Even though it was incredibly pigmented, it still blended out beautifully on the skin, and the more I blended, the more luminous the finish became. This shade seemed like an amplified version of the brand’s signature Orgasm blush–just so, so much better–and is richer than Deep Throat. It wore well for almost nine hours on me.

Ooh this is really pretty! And I love that it blends out really well.
Blendability is SO key with intense/pigmented blushes!
Oh wow, now that is a gorgeous blush!
Agreed!
Beautiful color, but I have an indie dupe (without the pearl). I can see in the swatches what you mean about the shimmer becomng more apparent with blending out. Lovely.
It’s a beauty, though we have definitely seen variations on this already from other brands!
Do I need this if I have Becca Pamplemoouse? This blush is so pretty.
I listed Pamplemousse as a dupe above!
This is so pretty! I’ve been wanting a blush that leans warm but won’t turn orange on my cheeks, and I think this might be it. To my mind/monitor, Guava and Pamplemousse have more of a coral/peachy look to them, while this looks more raspberry/red. Well, the only way to find out for sure will be to try it! For some reason orange/peach/coral blushes tend to look kind of strange, out of place on my face. It must be my strong blue/purple undertones. Anyway, I think this is gorgeous, I plan to try it and really hope it works!
Hope it leans pinker for you, Fran! 🙂
Thanks Christine! I am NC50 and was looking for something similar to Becca Pamplemousse because I didn’t want to purchase the Champagne Splits or the face palette. I’m so glad you gave it a great review. I’ll grab it when it gets to Sephora.
Here’s hoping this works well for you, Chelsea!
I forgot to ask how it compares to NARS Goulue(hope I spelt that right)
Hi Chelsea!
You can compare any two by using our “Compare Any Two” feature – it is located in the sidebar on desktop, below the review on mobile, or through the navigation on the Swatch Gallery.
Goulue is much, much more subdued, warmer, and less bright.
This one would definitely work far better for my skintones than Orgasm. I’m not big on bold cheeks personally, but I can see applying a bit of this with a fan brush on top of a more neutral shade for a bit of a healthy glow.
It would be gorgeous with a fan brush!
What a stunner!
Agreed!
Wow, and A+ and Temptalia recommended! I have Pamplemousse already, so will skip, but this is a beautiful color and finish
Impudique is a great blush!
It’s a beauty! And with Clinique Black Honey being permanent, I will go for Impudique first and foremost. The luminosity and pigmentation on this is absolute PERFECTION.
The pigmentation is insane!
WHOA NELLY! DAMN! Why you do this to me NARS? I just got your cheek palette and I’m gonna get your lip coffret… Just take all my money, Françios. I’m sure you need it.
lol, aww!
Wow A+. The fact that it blends out well is so important because as much as it is pretty it is a little bright.
I agree – blendablity is SO key here!
I recently purchased a Charlotte Tillsbury blush and I really like it – but this looks fun! *adding it to my list* I would need a very light hand applying it.
A light hand would definitely work!
This is so gorgeous! Right up my street colorwise. I’ll wait until I see it in person but I may get this. 🙂
I hope you love it, Gillian!
Hi Christine, do you know if this will be available on Sephora anytime soon?
November 1st.
I just ordered it on the NARS website!
Wow it’s really pretty and an A+
It is!
So beautiful, but it’s so intense that it might be a bit much on my skin tone. Gorgeous color and finish though, that’s the kind of Nars blush that I love!
With a light hand, I think it could work, since it is so blendable! But it would probably not be the easiest grab and go kind of blush on lighter skin tones.
Beautiful! When does it come out in stores?
October 15th at NARS, November 1st at retailers.
Ahh! A dupe of Pamplemousse??? I have that one already (actually, I have the 2 Becca x Jaclyn Hill palettes AND 2 split pans – because I love Prosecco Pop and Pamplemousse so much). Hmm… I know this is a GOOD thing (money saved) but I am still really excited to buy this one. Although if I skip it, I have more $ for the matte lipsticks…
Tough choice! Blush or lipstick!
What a stunner!
It is!
So pretty! I’ll never abandon Orgasm, but maybe time for a new Nars blush to play with. I do have a lot of blushes, but it got an A+ and is LE.
I think this is will be mine as soon as possible.
I hope you love it, Helene!
nobody does blush like nars, IMO! deep throat is one of my favorites of all time but i love the luminosity of this! so pretty.
The finish is nice!
What a gorgeous shade 🙂 I feel like it would be a bit too bright and intense for me, but on darker skintones it would be amazing!
It is definitely a bolder pink!
Omg I need this!
Hope you can swatch it, Tamara!
Christine, do you happen to know if this has either chromium oxide pigment (CI-77288 and/or CI-77289) in it?
Hi Di,
NARS did not provide boxes with any of the color collection products, so I do not have any info on the ingredient list and if it differs from their typical blushes.
Ok. I suspected you didn’t have a box since you usually post a photo of ingredients from boxes. Thanks anyway!
Hey, Christine, do you have any idea why this and the Isadora shade of blush doesn’t seem to have been released with the rest of the collection? I’ve been checking Sephora and Nordstrom, and unless it sold out really really quickly, it’s MIA. Were they nars.com exclusives or something? thanks!
No, I have no idea, sorry!
I picked this up during the Rouge sale. It wasn’t on my loves list but when I saw it, I just had to have it. It’s so beautiful – there’s probably no way to really pick up the golden glow behind the pink pigment. So pretty.
It’s a beauty! 🙂
I’m really late on this one, as an NC50 gal, orgasm didn’t work for me but this amplified version of orgasm does! I love it!
Woohoo! That is great to hear, Tracy 🙂
