NARS Hammamet Eyeshadow Duo ($35.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a new, limited edition neutral-hued duo for spring (January 15th at NARS, February 1st at all other retailers). It’s a nice set of shades that performs well, though they’re more dupable than not.

Hammamet (Left) is described as a “matte beige.” It’s a light-medium, peachy brown with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff with a soft, blendable texture that wasn’t too powdery or too firm. It blended out well and wore for seven and a half hours before fading. Viseart Beige (PiP, ) is lighter (95% similar). Viseart Cannelle (PiP, ) is darker (90% similar). Anastasia Spoiled (LE, $12.00) is darker, cooler (90% similar). Too Faced Millennial (LE, $16.00) is cooler (90% similar). Stila Clay (LE, $18.00) is darker, cooler (85% similar). Anastasia Soft Peach (P, $12.00) is lighter (90% similar). MAC Bamboo (DC, $17.00) is darker (85% similar). Make Up For Ever S710 Peach (DC, $21.00) is darker, brighter (85% similar). Giorgio Armani Nude Smoke (24) (DC, $39.00) is lighter, cooler (80% similar). See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Hammamet (Right) is described as a “bronzed rose.” It’s a slightly muted, medium-dark coppery brown with warm undertones and a frosted, slightly metallic finish. It was nicely pigmented with a soft, moderately dense texture that blended out well and adhered nicely to bare skin. On me, the color wore for eight hours before it started to fade. Viseart Melonie (PiP, ) is darker (100% similar). Viseart Balmy (LE, ) is darker (95% similar). LORAC Unbelievable (PiP, $19.00) is lighter (95% similar). Charlotte Tilbury Star Aura (Smoke) (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker (95% similar). MAC To Boldly Go (LE, $21.00) is more shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Tom Ford Beauty Nude Dip #2 (LE, ) is lighter (90% similar). Too Faced Classy and Sassy (LE, $16.00) is more shimmery (90% similar). MAC Fortune Kookie (LE, $17.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). ColourPop Ego (DC, $4.50) is lighter, cooler (90% similar). Urban Decay Dive (LE, $19.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). ColourPop My Way (LE, $4.50) is darker (90% similar). City Color Homecoming Queen (P, $6.99) is more shimmery (90% similar). Too Faced Adore (PiP, ) is less shimmery (90% similar). Anastasia B2 (Norvina Vol. 1) (LE, $12.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). ColourPop La-La (P, $6.00) is warmer (90% similar). Natasha Denona Bronze (P, $28.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Too Faced Iced Coffee (LE, $16.00) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). Viseart Truffle (PiP, ) is less shimmery (90% similar). Chanel Laurier Rose (127) (LE, $34.00) is less shimmery, darker, cooler (90% similar). Make Up For Ever D708 Pinky Copper (DC, $21.00) is darker, warmer (90% similar). Top 20 dupes listed, see the rest. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

I’m probably in the minority, but I don’t have many similar shades in my stash. However, there is a reason for that-these just don’t work for me, so I will be skipping this duo. I’m glad to see NARS adding warmer shades to the family, though!

Looks like a nice workhorse product, won’t be getting it but it’s nice to know it’s there, it’d be good if this was made permanent.

Even though I have so many dupes for these shades because they are so basic I’m thinking this might be genius for me. Nars duo’s ( HA! My tablet kept trying to force the word audacious after the word Nars. Can we say obsessed boys and girls? Because I AM obviously lol) are so small it would slip right into the back zipper part inside my purse where my little travel brush set lives. On days I run out of time and have to leave my house before the eyeshadow part of my routine it would be so easy to slip off and do a quick look with this duo. I think I just sold it to myself 🙂 Total fast, easy, no-brainer workhorse!
