Milk Makeup Supernova Holographic Highlighting Powder Review, Photos, Swatches
Supernova
Milk Makeup Supernova Holographic Highlighting Powder ($30.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a bright, silvery lavender with cool undertones and a sparkling sheen. It had more iridescent shimmer than one that shifted from one shade to another. The finish was moderately shimmery with a strong reflective quality but did not emphasize my skin’s natural texture as the consistency was more finely-milled and smoother as I blended and buffed it out onto my cheeks.
The formula is supposed to have “full payoff in a single swipe” that can be used on cheeks and eyes. It had good pigmentation in a single layer–just shy of full coverage–and was easily built up for truly opaque coverage if desired. The texture was soft, smooth, and not too dense nor was it powdery in the pan, so it was easy to use and to blend out. The highlighter wore well for eight hours on me before fading slightly.

Pretty I’d have to see it on my own cheeks though. It looks like it might emphasize texture.
I think it is fine enough that it wouldn’t, but if you find it’s an issue with every subtle products, it might on you!
You came up with a nice eye look to complement the highlighter!
Thanks, Anna, except I can’t take any credit, since the eyes had nothing to do with the highlighter!
It’s pretty!
Agreed!
This reminds me a little bit of Becca Amethyst highligher – although I’m not sure if the Becca ones pulls as much purple!
I would say they aren’t that similar, actually!
Hmm, well I do love it on you; but doubt that I could pull off what seems to be a whiter base to this? Super pretty lilac toned shade, though! ?
(I *could* use it as an eyeshadow, perhaps)
Almost like a silvery white than true, powdery white, but if you’d only use it as an eyeshadow, I wouldn’t get it.
Ok, I’m impressed. I had bought their Supernova (also Mars) in the stick form and was less than impressed. The powder iteration looks significantly better. Might “need” this! Thanks!
No problem!
This one is so blinding, I like it.
It is an intense!
