Milani Sunglow, Sunset Glow, Summer Glow Strobelight Instant Glow Powders Reviews, Photos, Swatches

Sunglow
Milani Sunglow Strobelight Instant Glow Powder ($10.00 for 0.30 oz.) is a light-medium gold with warm, yellow undertones and a pearly sheen. It had good pigmentation–just shy of full coverage–that was buildable to full coverage by patting on just a touch more product. The texture was smooth to the touch, soft and blendable without being powdery in the pan, and sat well on the skin except when worn at full coverage, then it emphasized my skin’s texture ever-so-slightly. On my skin, the highlighter wore well for eight hours before fading.
The formula is powder highlighter that’s supposed to have a “radiant finish” and is available in seven shades (you can view swatches of all shades here). The consistency was similar to a lot of other “gelee” highlighters: smooth, soft but more firmly pressed (where there was no powderiness but was still pigmented) with semi-opaque to opaque coverage and a frosted to a metallic finish. Some shades emphasized my skin’s natural texture slightly when worn heavily. This formula will be most suitable for someone who likes an intense, more metallic highlighter and warmer-toned shades.

Sunset Glow
Milani Sunset Glow Strobelight Instant Glow Powder ($10.00 for 0.30 oz.) is a medium-dark copper with warm, reddish undertones and a metallic sheen. It had opaque color payoff that applied beautifully to the skin–even, smooth, and reflective without emphasizing my skin’s natural texture. The powder felt smooth to the touch and did not kick up any excess product in the pan as it had a firmer press. I had no trouble picking up product onto my brush or blending it out. This shade lasted well for eight hours on me.

Summer Glow
Milani Summer Glow Strobelight Instant Glow Powder ($10.00 for 0.30 oz.) is a pale, yellow gold with warm undertones and a pearly sheen. The highlighter was quite pigmented and had a soft, smooth texture that was more firmly pressed in the pan, so there was no powderiness but was still pliable enough to be easily used with highlighter brushes (which are often less dense). The powder blended out beautifully on the skin and did not emphasize any texture on my skin. It stayed on well for eight hours before fading.

These three are all so lovely and so affordable. How I wish Milani was available here in Canada.
If you’ve ever shopped well.ca, they do stock some Milani!
I wasn’t expecting so many shades….. I might have to splurge on shipping and get three of them including Summer Glow.
I do wish they had at least a few cooler shades though!
Summer Glow is really nice, but I have enough similar products.
Not surprising — it is similar to so many highlighters out there!
Oh these are so pretty!! I like how there’s different colors for different skintones, price is very reasonable, and there’s always BOGO sales
They are a steal at full price, let alone on sale!
I’d have to say that all 3 of these are beautifully done! Milani really hit that note high! Such beautiful shades, you probably can guess what I’m gonna say next, right? ?
Haha! 😉
Summer glow is STUNNING. and me thinks it would be pretty on my yellow toned skin!!
It would be great on warm-toned skin!
Sunset Glow is gorgeous!! Really digging this shade <3
It is!
Beautiful shade and a great rating, you really can’t go past these Milani offerings.
They are amazing!
These have really impressed me, the only ones I don’t want are the ones too dark for my skin tone (like Sunset).
Glad there a few that will work for you, Betty!
Lovely! I like them all so far!
