Milani Nylon, Kink, Bitten Color Fetish Shine Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Nylon
Milani Nylon Color Fetish Shine Lipstick ($8.99 for 0.1 oz.) is a medium plum with moderate, warm undertones and a natural sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation in a single layer, which was higher coverage than marketed but may be a bonus for some. The consistency was thin, lightweight, and had a lot of slip, so it was comfortable to apply but glided very easily across my lips. It lasted for three hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

Formula Overview
$8.99/0.1 oz. - $89.90 Per Ounce
It's supposed to have "sheer to medium coverage" with an "ultra-moisturizing" formula that is a cross between a lip balm and a lipstick. The formula was very emollient, lightweight, and had the feeling that it melted against the warmth of my lips during application. The coverage ranged from medium to semi-opaque more than they were ever sheer, though.
Most shades applied evenly and weren't prone to emphasizing lip lines or lip texture but a few shades were less flattering applied as they caught on imperfections. They were comfortable to apply and to wear, but they were more lightly hydrating while on but didn't feel like they were adding long-term hydration (even after wearing the formula back-to-back).
They lasted between two and three hours, so they were shorter-wearing than average, but easy to reapply. The formula had a sweet, fruity scent and slightly sweet taste.

Kink
Milani Kink Color Fetish Shine Lipstick ($8.99 for 0.1 oz.) is a medium, cotton candy pink with cool, blue undertones and a lightly glossy finish. It had semi-sheer color coverage, which was as marketed, that applied evenly and smoothly across my lips without emphasizing my lip lines or lip texture. The texture was smooth, creamy, and balm-like with a lot of slip and a thinner feel overall. This shade stayed on for three hours and felt lightly moisturizing overtime.

Bitten
Milani Bitten Color Fetish Shine Lipstick ($8.99 for 0.1 oz.) is a deep, reddened plum with subtle, cool undertones and a glossy finish. It had semi-opaque color coverage that applied fairly evenly but settled into my deeper lip lines enough to be slightly noticeable in person–the glossy finish distracted a bit from it. The consistency was lightweight, very emollient and prone to sliding around. I didn’t experience feathering/migration, though I am not prone to either. It wore well for four hours and felt lightly hydrating over time.

I love plummy shades like Nylon so it immediately caught my eye but I actually just ordered Sephora’s Stronger lipstick this morning so I don’t need it. Very pretty on you!
I like the Bitten plum shade, but I can see what you mean about its glossiness and lip lines too. Nylon is a lovely softer plum shade as well.
While I was totally banking on loving Bitten, I realized that I have MAC Elle Belle and that it applies far better. Money saved!
I do really like Nylon quite a bit, though!
