Milani Berry Rays Color Harmony Blush Palette Review, Photos, Swatches
Berry Rays
Milani Berry Rays Harmony Blush Palette ($13.00 for 0.30 oz.) swirled together resulted in a soft, medium coral with warm undertones and a satin finish. The consistency felt fairly soft and was blendable on the cheeks with semi-opaque color coverage in a single layer, which was buildable but also easily diffused for sheerer coverage. It wore well for eight hours on me before fading.
The formula is supposed to be a “high-impact, buildable blush” that “blends easily” but simultaneously has “richly pigmented shades” that can be used alone or together. The top three sections are larger, but only the top section (the one that often has more shimmer) is truly large enough to accommodate the average blush brush. I think it would be more practical to use two or three shades at a time, rather than only one.
The quality of the powder varied a lot from shade to shade, palette to palette, with some shades being softer and more pliable and others being more firmly pressed and yielded sheerer coverage. The way they are described on Milani’s website is contradictory (at least, in the order/way they said it), but on the back of the compact itself, it says “four pigment-rich and ultra blendable blush tones” and so I am holding the blushes to that: “pigment-rich.” The coverage varied from medium to opaque with most shades within the palettes being blendable. A few shades darkened on me a few minutes after initial application (which was the point where I took photos, so you could see the result). The wear ranged from seven to eight and a half hours on me.

Berry Rays #1
Berry Rays #1 is a light pink with warm undertones and a golden sheen. It had good color payoff with a soft, blendable texture that applied easily to cheeks and blended out without issue. This shade lasted for seven and a half hours on me.

Berry Rays #2
Berry Rays #2 is a dirty, medium-dark coral with warm, brown undertones and a matte finish. It had medium, buildable pigmentation that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out with little work. The color appeared much darker swatched than on the pan, and it seemed to turn pinkish on me after a few minutes. The texture could have been less firm in the pan, which would have made it easier to pick up with a brush. The color stayed on well for seven and a half hours.

Berry Rays #3
Berry Rays #3 is a medium pink with warm undertones and a satin finish. It had semi-sheer pigmentation that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage. The powder was firmer in the pan, which made it harder to pick up product on my brush and required more jabbing motions to dislodge the powder from the surface. I was able to blend it out without having to work too hard at it. The blush wore nicely for eight hours on me.

Berry Rays #4
Berry Rays #4 is a light-medium pink with warm, yellow undertones and a matte finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff that applied evenly and smoothly to bare skin. The consistency was soft, almost a touch dusty, but it was blendable and easy to work with on my cheeks. It wore well for eight hours before fading noticeably on my cheeks.

#2 is my fave here, looks like a very versatile color!
I agree!
That’s what I abhor about many a multi-family compact like this; that the individual shades have different consistencies and therefore, one will not be picking up equal amounts of each when swirling their brush around in it. Leading to panning 1 or 2 long before making a dent in the rest!
*Rant over!*
Okay, so the actual resulting shade itself is super pretty, but I think I’ll just stick with using LG Pink Grapefruit for something similar!
I am amused by the fact that if you never touched it, and you only used it all swirled, one might never actually know!
Oh man! What a gorgeous little blush palette! The melange of colours looks perfect for the summer season!
Despite the name, it is much more coral-y and summery!
This is perfect for me – just love the shades and the colours. I hope it is released here soon.
I hope it is, too!
Yes, I love this!!!!
#2 is really pretty
I’m tempted to get this one if we get it in Canada as these are the shades I gravitate towards for blush
It looks so peach/coral when swirled!
