Marc Jacobs Beauty The Parisienne Style Eye-Con No. 7 Palette ($59.00 for 0.24 oz.) is a new, limited edition holiday palette that runs very cool-toned. It’s always nice to see a more cool-toned palette, since they’re not as common as you might think (and most, like this one, are limited edition). Overall, it’s a nice palette with cooler, smokier shades that run from deep gray to soft white. Two shades had slightly drier textures, but most shades had good color payoff, long-wear, and were blendable on the skin.

The Parisienne #1 is described as a “deep blue-gray pearl.” It’s a dark, bluish-gray with cool undertones and a frosted finish. It had nice color payoff with a soft, buttery texture that was easily blended on the skin. It wore well for eight and a half hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Parisienne #2 is described as a “metallic royal blue.” It’s a medium-dark, navy blue with a frosted sheen. The texture was a little dry, which made the color payoff seem less intense and not as easily blended on the lid. It showed signs of fading after eight hours of wear. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Parisienne #3 is described as a “pale blue pearl with silver shimmer.” It’s a brightened, light-medium silver with a metallic sheen. It had good pigmentation and went on fairly smoothly with a soft, blendable texture. The color stayed on well for eight hours. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Parisienne #4 is described as a “cool matte beige.” It’s a muted, cool-toned, light-medium beige with a hint of gray and a satin finish. It had fantasty color payoff with a really soft, silky texture that was easy to apply and blend out on the lid. It was a tiny bit powdery. The shade wore well for eight hours. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Parisienne #5 is described as a “matte vanilla creme.” It’s a cool-toned, muted white with a soft, satiny sheen. It had good pigmentation with a soft, smooth consistency that went on evenly. The color lasted for eight hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Parisienne #6 is described as a “bronze espresso sheen.” It’s a dark brown with cool undertones and khaki-bronze shimmer with a frosted finish. It had nice color payoff, though the texture was a smidgen dry–not stiff, though. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading slightly. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

The Parisienne #7 is described as a “matte burgundy with iridescent glitter.” It’s a cool-toned, burgundy with a matte finish and pink micro-glitter on top. The glitter doesn’t stick to the skin or bind with the eyeshadow, so you’d need a slightly tacky base to get the glittery effect to be visible. The color is actually more pigmented than it seems, as it is a little powdery and tends to dust away, but a little goes a long way–so take care if you wear over primer. It lasted for eight and a half hours on me. See comparison swatches / view dupes side-by-side.

Hi Fuji! I’ve actually owned this for quite awhile now, and not only do the gorgeous eyeshadows swatch more beautifully on lighter skin, but it’s all top notch quality! I assure you! <3 it! The colors are complex and so lovely! I'd not hesitate if this interests you.

Thank you very much, Lotus! That’s such a relief to hear that they are great in real use. After all, it’s too hard to make all shades absolutely perfect. I still love this palette and am considering getting it! 🙂

Uuuuhhhh…that looks really lovely..but I have blues and plums and grays and aubergines. Also Jacobs gets on my nerves. Love the look you did with it, though.

The gent himself, or the products? I’m leery. Having acq. only three items through sephora points + two being mechanically faulty, I’m mistrustful… Colors are fine, though….

The first (#1) and the last (#7) shadows are my favorites. I am delighted that this palette is “very” cool-toned. About time, too.

Too bad the darkest blue got a C+ . Seems like cosmetic companies have a hard time doing blue eyeshadow well. The best blue eyeshadow kit I’ve run across is Dior Bleu De Paris – has some gorgeous blues for about the same price, love it.

I totally love the idea of a cool-toned palette – there are really not many out there. It’s a shame that my favourite colour – the blue, is lacking in quality. I am not sure they needed two base colours or the brownish shade. For a true cool-toned palette, a lovely tealy green would have been better. Brown is too much like a neutral. I know I am just being fussy……

LA Colors has a 12 colour palette called “Smoky” (original, I know eh) that is nicely cool toned. This reminds me of it, however I’m sure the quality of this is light years better! But hey, for 3 bucks, can’t complain and there actually are some decent shadows in the LA Colors!

I’m pretty sure it will – I haven’t had much chance to play with it but my daughter likes me to swatch on her arms when she’s in the bath (it’s kinda hard to not play with my stuff while she’s playing with her toys in there!). Anywho, I swatched most of them on her wet arm and some of them came up really nice! So I’ll have to try over a few different ones, TFSI and Pixie Epoxy I have for sure!

This was another one of my wishlist items, which seems to be getting way to big even after I tried to trim it.. lol. My fav colors were 2 & 7 but it looks like those are also the worst performers 🙁 Would have been nice if that burgundy looked a little more like deep damsen.

Oh, this is pretty 🙂 I feel like if I’m honest with myself, I can probably semi-dupe too many of the colours in this from my Sleek palettes… but still… <3

Can I just say how much I'm loving all the cool-toned palettes and things that have come out around the holiday collections etc? It's been a very 'warm' year for eyeshadows, I feel 🙂
