Marc Jacobs Beauty Gone Bad (216) Lust for Lacquer Review, Photos, Swatches
Marc Jacobs Beauty Gone Bad (216) Lust for Lacquer
Marc Jacobs Beauty Gone Bad (216) Lust for Lacquer ($28.00 for 0.16 fl. oz.) is described as a “coral red.” It’s a bold, bright coral-orange with warm undertones and a glossy finish. Hourglass Muse (P, $28.00) is pinker. MAC Morange (LE, $15.00) is warmer, less red. MAC Ablaze (LE, $15.00) is more muted. Illamasqua Temper (P, $22.00) is lighter, less red. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
This shade is part of the full coverage range, which is quite fitting, as it is intensely pigmented with full opacity. I did notice that it looked almost “bubbled” in places, which I think may be due to the fact that is more light-medium in thickness. The consistency is almost gel-like and creamy, but it doesn’t slide around. It’s not a gloss that feels like you’re wearing. It doesn’t bleed or feather on me, and it lasted for five and a half hours. The formula is mostly non-sticky (just towards the end it feels slightly tacky), is mint-scented, and is lightly hydrating on me.

You rock that lippie well! 😀
Thanks, Lotus! Do you like this formula?
DAYUM! That’s bright! looks good though!
Haha! It is a bold one!
Wow, that looks almost neon! When I got to your 2nd lip photo it reminded me of the MAC Rocky Horror Picture Show lips for some reason LOL.
It’s surprisingly bright!
I really like this formula and this shade is gorgeous. I have to have it!
Me too! 🙂 Love opaque gloss that doesn’t look uneven!
Oh wow, that’s bright!!
Right? Neon!!
absolutely stunning! I’m in love with this!
It pops so nicely!
Now this is wishlist material! I’m not big on glosses, but I make exceptions for opaque ones. This is a stunning shade on you!
Thanks, Sunny! 🙂
OHHHEMGEE! The glossiness of this lip colour is just beyond beautiful! Love love this shade so much!
I love that it looks so even, too!
I love this so much. It looks amazing!
It’s a really nice shade! Bright and bold.
That shade is gorgeous and looks so good on you! Too bad I don’t really like glossy formulas, my hair always gets stuck on my lips when wearing them 🙁 (though at least this one as sticky as MAC glosses!)
*isn’t as sticky, ack!
I totally understand! My hair is super long, so when I have it down, I often don’t like to wear gloss (sticky or not).
I love these orangey coral shades. Not always so sure they work well on me, but they’re great for a pop of color. Supermodel Coco Rocha tends to wear shades like this a lot, and I always love how it stands out on her face.
She looks so amazing with this type of color on!
I am usually scared of neon like colors but this is calling out to me. It’s gorgeous!
This one seems to have that special quality that it tempts even those who aren’t normally drawn to these kinds of colors!
Beautiful shade!
Agreed!
Oh, wow!
It looks fantastic on you. What a fantastic colour, I like it so much!
Thank you, Helene!
HOLY PIGMENTATION BATMAN
I’m not really into glossy lips but that is amazing, wow <3
Haha! ALL CAPS excitement! 🙂
HOT DAMN! 😀 *fans self* The heat coming off that colour is intense! 😀
OK, so there’a a part of me, when I see things like this, that totally wants to make this the first orange I wear. I mean, if you’re going to wear orange, you might as well go all out, right?..
Haivng said that, I’m pretty sure this would wear *me*, not the other way around, LOL!
It is a special orange. So bright and glossy 😉
