The formula is supposed to give “natural looking color” with buildable coverage that wears “all day.” It has a stronger, more dramatic golden sheen compared to some versions of this shade (probably the most well-known is NARS’ Albatross) that pulls yellower on me rather than white, which should make it more versatile for a greater number of skin tones. However, the white base is visible and almost appears grayish against my warmer skin tone, which may or may not be something that you’re looking for. The shimmer gives a noticeable sheen and glow to the skin, not quite metallic or frosted, but it is a medium-level highlighter overall. The texture was blendable but felt a little soft, powdery, and a smidgen dry in the pan, but I didn’t find it looked that way on the skin. On me, the highlighter lasted just over six and a half hours.

Not bad… that’s about as much frost on the skin as I can handle.
It might work for you then! 🙂
I guess this is a pass for me with that pale yellow gold shimmer. T-T
Awww!
It looks beautiful. Reminds me of Chanel camellia de plumes I think it was called.
I can see some similarity!
I like this one, it’s really pretty!! I have Nars Albatross and like how it’s less shimmery though!
Woohoo! 🙂
This one is so pretty. I want to get it the next time I order.
Yay! Hope you can.
The shimmer is quite pretty, but I agree that it definitely creates a much more dramatic result than the official description claims.
Sometimes that’s the funny part about descriptions… still could be a good product for someone!
I like it! Then again, I tend to go for some pretty shimmery highlighters, so no surprise there. Do already have the e.l.f. dupe for Nars Albatross, Gotta Glow, and Colourpop Lunch Money, so Idk that I should get something this similar.
I think you are covered, haha!
That’s a lovely highlighting powder.
It is!
Oh wow, I was expecting this to swatch white, like Becca Pearl, but that yellow shimmer is pretty, but yes, I can see that white base and it worries me
Oh, yes, this one has a definite yellow sheen compared to Pearl!
I’m quite pale and I adore Golden Lights as a bold, night time highlighter – plus the design in the pan is so pretty!
So glad you love it, Mary!
I want this even though I already have 14 different highlighters! I tried to do a decluttering of them but couldn’t let anything go. I use them all and they are all different. Its so beautiful and $6 isn’t much so I may pick it up. I think the yellow would look good on my light skin with yellow undertones.
Aw, I bet you have something similar in your 14, Amanda!
I think you’re right! ? I got a highlighter in my boxycharm with a yellow sheen that’s really subtle but pretty.
