Makeup Revolution Ever Glow Lights & Holographic Lights Strobe Highlighters Reviews, Photos, Swatches
Ever Glow Lights
Makeup Revolution Ever Glow Lights Strobe Highlighter ($6.00 for 0.26 oz.) is a soft white with subtle, warm undertones and a soft sheen. This was one of the more subtle shades with respect to finish, and this was much more in line with the concept of “natural illumination.” The texture was soft, a little dusty but did not appear dry on the cheeks, and was blendable. It had good pigmentation–less buildable than just pigmented–but that dustiness made it sheer out a bit on the skin, so it was easy to control and sheer out the coverage, if desired. It wore well for seven and a half hours on me.
The Strobe Highlighter formula is described as a “light powder highlighter [that] gives a natural illumination.” It’s supposed to have buildable coverage, and it can also be used wet for a stronger finish. The texture reminds me of parchment–a little dry, almost “noisy” when I run my finger over it. There was a dryness present that I find common to more baked and mineralize kind of products, which is noticeable in the pan but rarely on the skin (where it counts the most!). The coverage was medium, buildable, and the dustiness in the texture made it very easy to blend and diffuse the powder across cheekbones for an even glow. The formula wore between seven and a seven and a half hours on me.

Holographic Lights
Makeup Revolution Holographic Lights Strobe Highlighter ($6.00 for 0.26 oz.) is a bright white with a gold-to-green shifting frost. The finish was much more metallic (not at all “natural”), though it was just shy of emphasizing my skin’s natural texture to my eye. It had semi-opaque, buildable pigmentation paired with a blendable, somewhat drier texture (it seemed dusty in the pan but not on the skin). The shift was noticeable as I turned my head, and it also worked well to change up various blushes/bronzers layered underneath. The highlighter started to fade after seven and a half hours of wear.

I like both of these. *_* I’m surprised I don’t see a photo of you wearing Holographic Lights.
SO sorry, I don’t know why it didn’t get uploaded! It’s up now.
Man, it’s so glowy on you. 😉 I’m getting this one in a swap I’m finalising.
Holographic lights is nice!
It is!
Of course I’m loving Holographic Lights! That is gorgeous and I love the shift I’m seeing. Reminds me of a lighter version of KVD Alchemist Emerald, so I *may* not need it really?
Emerald gets you pretty close!
I really like Holographic Lights. So pretty with the shift.
The shift is nice!
Both of them made it to my wishlist. They are quite inexpensive so perhaps they will even make it here. Though I did organize highlighters today and I don’t think there’s any space left 🙂
They have a nice sheen! 🙂
Holographic Lights looks so fun! These seem like a steal. I’m always looking for affordable products to add to ulta orders that are just shy of the $50 free shipping threshold. I may add a few of these to that list.
