Makeup Geek Bliss Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Makeup Geek Bliss Blush
Makeup Geek Bliss Blush ($9.99 for 0.15 oz. pan; $12.99 for 0.15 oz. compact) is described as a “light tan, light salmon.” It’s a light-medium, peachy coral with warm undertones and a mostly matte finish. MAC Corol #1 (LE, $21.00) is lighter. Make Up For Ever #225 HD Blush (P, $26.00) is a cream product. Make Up For Ever #215 HD Blush (P, $26.00) is pinker, cream. Hourglass Diffused Heat (P, $35.00) is pinker. bareMinerals Swoon (LE, $19.00) is pinker. MAC Immortal Flower (LE, $21.00) is a smidgen lighter. See comparison swatches / view dupes.
The texture of the blush was incredibly soft, smooth, and lightly buttery. I’ve been most impressed by the consistency of the Makeup Geek blush formula, because it is silky and finely-milled but doesn’t turn powdery. There’s such a fine line between soft and powdery, but they get it right with Bliss. It had good color payoff that was buildable and blendable, so you can get nearly true-to-pan intensity or a sheer wash of color if desired. This shade wore well for almost nine hours on me before starting to show signs of fading along the edges.

Nice quality blush consistent with the others. Not a colour for me though, this type of shade makes me look pasty.
I’m really loving how consistent the range has been so far!
Part of me really wanted to get this with my order, but I didn’t want to go over $40.
Luckily, they’re permanent, so you can always go back for more! 🙂
Yeah, but sometimes..like w/ their vegan palette + certain popular eyeshadows, they can be hard to catch, even with eagle eyes.
This would have looked great on you Rikki! 🙂
So pretty! But I think it looks better for lighter skin tones, very light for you (look at your right cheek).
It depends on the look you’re going for, I think – I actually love it on my medium skin tone, because it gives noticeable color but is soft enough to wear with even the boldest eyes/lips! 🙂 That’s just my opinion, of course!
That’s anothere blush on her right cheek. Bliss is only on her her left side.
another*
What a pretty shade. 😉
I agree!
A subtle peachy shade! Apt as an everyday blush!
Could be nice for everyday for sure!
I wanted to get this, but wasn’t sure it would show up on my medium skin. It looks beautiful on you, though 😀 Maybe in a couple of days I’ll be able to brave the website again 😉
I think it works as a lighter, everyday kind of shade – easy to wear with a lot of things.
Such a nice, soft shade.
It is! 🙂
do you wear same blush on both cheeks? right side looks like bliss but left like lighter pink/violet blush, so im just curious, left looks like too cool and light for me and right like perfect shade 🙂
Hi Niki,
The right side is the blush from this post!
sooo i guess i have to buy it 🙂
thanks for reply, i thought you could testing two blushes at the same time, i just wasnt sure
No problem! 🙂
YAY! I was super excited for this review! I remember how much I’ve been impressed by the swatch of this shade on your first post. I immediately decided to purchase it, but I’ve been looking forward to your full review. TEMPTALIA RECOMMENDS ????!!!!!! So thrilled! There is nothing any reason not to get it soon, today, naturally.
Woohoo!! I’m so glad it all worked out 😀
Oh yay! I pretty much have used up almost all of my Immortal Flower and was looking for a dupe. Glad this is similar!
If Immortal Flower leans really pink on you, I’d say this might not work, but if you find it is coral or leans a little peach, you should be good!
Another great blush from this brand, looks like they really all deliver!
So far, so good!
this looks great and right up my alley for blush-soft and subtle.
I think you’d love it, Beka!
How close is this to Benefit’s Georgia, that I thought I’d never use, but was/is WWWAAAAAAYYY down in pan, when d/c’d? I can’t bring myself to use up anything I can’t replace…sign of a true hoarder. Marlena + Co are getting great reviews from you, which means they NAILED it!
Georgia would be a lot lighter – and in general, just a sheerer, softer color all around. Georgia is hard to get to show on my skin tone in comparison.
Georgia turned out to be very versatile….it was so light + sheer that it even could go as all-over face color in the right season. But, get a little tan, or be even a warm medium + away it went. I think it showed up on me best in winter, when my skin is cooler + lighter. It was one of those surprises. Bought it primarily because of a gap in the stash color wheel, then used the hell out of it. Think I was on box 3, when it d/c’d. Now DANDELION reeeally doesn’t show up on me…..
I think Bliss is going to be too dark to dust all over, though it will give you that light peachy color if you want as a blush!
I ordered 6 of the blushes on the 15th. I can hardly wait for them to get here! All look really pretty so far.
Nice, Sue! Which six did you get?
Does this compare to MAC canteloupe at all?
Cantaloupe is darker, I believe!
Which makeup geek blushes would you recommend for deeper skin tones? So far all of these blushes look pretty light.
You can see them all here — http://www.temptalia.com/swatch-gallery?brand=Makeup%20Geek&type=12662
Shades like Summer Fling, Rendezvous, Love Affair, and Hanky Panky are your best bets.
thinking this is the one i will order first!!!
YAY!
Mama likes! Might be too warm though.
I think it is just warm enough to be a warm color but not TOO warm if that makes sense!
Sooooo pretty, can’t wait for this one!
Glad ya liked it, Shana!
I’m so glad this got your stamp of approval! I was back and forth about this shade because I was a little afraid of the coral looking too orangey. I love how subtle it looks on you. I just have to be careful to not go overboard.
I think it’ll work perfectly for you, Carly! It is easy not to overdo!
Would you say Smitten or Bliss is closer to MAC’s Cream Soda? 🙂

I was hoping this would dupe Immortal Flower. YAY CHEAPER PERMANENT DUPE!
Woohoo!! 🙂
This is a cute shade, but my vampire skin wants something a little deeper/darker, I think. This one might have a bit too much white in the base for me… 🙂
I could see that!
Nice one. Does it fit in MAC blush palette – do you know by any chance?
Yes, they do!
Good news! Im definitely getting this one & Secret Admirer 🙂
Yay!
Yay. I have a dupe. 🙂
Woohoo!
One such peachy shade is a musty have for me.. looks lovely and i love the texture of it!! 🙂
The texture is really nice!
can these blushes be put in a mac blush palette or only a Z palette?
They totally could go in a MAC palette! I think you may have to add a magnet.
I bought one of these and it does not fit in the new MAC palettes. :/
Does this blush fit in a mac pro blush palette ?
Yes!
