Make Up For Ever Gorgeous Coral, Virtuous Goji, Cheery Chili Rouge Artist Lipsticks Reviews & Swatches
Gorgeous Coral (300)
Make Up For Ever Gorgeous Coral (300) Rouge Artist Lipstick (2020) ($23.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark orange-coral with strong, warm undertones paired with a satin finish. It had a more neon quality to the color, which was tempered slightly by the reddish pull.
The consistency was smooth, lightweight, and thin with more of a glide than a traditional creaminess, but the color accentuated and bunched around any imperfections on my lips. It had semi-opaque coverage that stayed on decently for four hours and felt non-drying.

Formula Overview
$23.00/0.11 oz. - $209.09 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to "blur, smooth, and hydrate" with "intensity of a matte and the comfort of a cream" and delivers "ultra-pigment[ation]." The consistency reminded me of the more new-school "matte" formulas that feel velvety without wetness/shine--the ones that feel more silicone-heavy and primer-like, which are often thinner, too. I'd say that the new Rouge Artist formula has a little more traditional creaminess, so there was a satin shine (which was as marketed--satin finish!).
The consistency was smooth, lightweight, and thin without feeling clingy. In the close-up photos, there were several shades that looked like there were little bits scattered on my lips, almost like it had pilled, though I didn't feel it when I pressed my lips together and couldn't see it in person.
They had mostly opaque to opaque color coverage in a single layer. Most shades applied evenly and sat well enough on my lips, though there were some that emphasized my lip lines slightly. They wore for four to six hours on me with some of the very rich, deeper shades lasting a little longer than that. The formula felt mostly non-drying to lightly hydrating to me.
There was a sweet, slightly floral scent that was noticeable on for the first few minutes, but I didn't notice any taste.

Virtuous Goji (320)
Make Up For Ever Virtuous Goji (320) Rouge Artist Lipstick (2020) ($23.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a medium-dark copper with strong, warm orange undertones and a satin finish. It was richly pigmented with full coverage delivered in a single stroke.
The lipstick had a lightweight consistency that was thin, more velvety with light creaminess, and comfortable to apply and to wear. The product didn’t accentuate my lip lines and lasted well for four and a half hours while it felt lightly hydrating over time

Cheery Chili (416)
Make Up For Ever Cherry Chili (416) Rouge Artist Lipstick (2020) ($23.00 for 0.11 oz.) is a brighter, medium-dark pink-red with strong, cool undertones and a satin sheen. It had mostly opaque color coverage, though it didn’t adhere as well to the inner area of my lips as that was where it looked like it wasn’t opaque.
The product applied evenly and comfortably across my lips as it had light glide with little slip, which sat well and didn’t emphasize my lip texture. It wore nicely for five hours, left a faint stain behind, and felt lightly moisturizing over time.

I really love Virtuous Goji and Cheery Chili a lot, just not enough that I would probably buy either one. Hard to explain why I feel that way?
As someone who adores bright, loud colors, this collection keeps exciting me. Gorgeous Coral is brighter than my future. I could attract all the flamingos on the beach with that orange-pink.
Gorgeous Coral lives up to its name and is a beautiful, bright coral shade – but sadly the rating is not that great.
Virtuous Goji is my kind of shade, but I do have Foolish and Gallop by CP as dupes.
Now Cheery Chili is nothing like what it’s name suggests, but still is a vibrant shade.
Gorgeous coral is, in fact, gorgeous and you bring it to life, Christine!
Thank you, Pamela!
