Make Up For Ever #330 HD Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Make Up For Ever #330 HD Blush
Make Up For Ever #330 HD Blush ($26.00 for 0.09 oz.) is described as a “rosy plum.” It is a medium pink with moderately cool, bluish undertones and has a satin finish. Sleek MakeUP Macaroon (P) is brighter. MAC Formal (LE) is a powder. Urban Decay Temper (LE) is brighter, pinker, powder. Bobbi Brown Summer Pink (LE, $26.00) is darker. Chanel Revelation (63) (P, $38.00) is warmer. See comparison swatches.
It is new for spring and comes in sixteen different shades. The new formula is supposed to be blendable, long-wearing, comfortable to wear, and have a satin finish. The texture is lightly creamy with some slip, and it takes about thirty seconds before it starts to really melt and transition into a more powder-like texture and feel. The end result is very similar to Chanel Le Blush Creme de Chanel, but the initial texture and feel are noticeably different, as Chanel feels like a powder almost as soon as it hits the skin. I liked using stippling brushes with the formula, as it delivered good color coverage and still offered blendability and evenness. I also found fingertips were good for working the color onto the skin (I usually get the initial amount on using a brush). #330 was one of two shades that I tried, and it was really easy to apply and blend onto the skin. It looked even, had a satin-matte finish, and didn’t cling-to or exacerbate dry patches. It had good, buildable coverage that could be sheered out or applied at true-to-pan intensity. The color wore well for almost eight hours before fading.

Great color for spring! Definitely checking these out!
Yay!! 🙂
You look so fresh-faced today, Christine!
Thanks a lot, C! 🙂
*swoon* Oh Christine, this looks lovely on you! The texture and formula look and sound fantastic.
Thanks so much!
I’m glad you like this, and I’m happy that you’re reviewing these! I realy like the rosewood and ginger type shades from this line. This looks great on you, btw!
The shade range is more diverse than Sephora’s photos let on!
So true! they look so muddy on sephora’s website they do the blushes no justice!
I’m so glad you’re reviewing these! I just saw them at Sephora and they are all so beautiful! I hope you’re doing more shades as I found choosing between some of them was impossible (for me…so many I liked). So nice when a line has enough colors so everyone can find the perfect blush but so much choice can be confusing. I love this one on you! Thanks!!!
I only have two shades, sorry!
Two is better than none!
It looks good on you 😀
I’m going to check this out once they launch in my country!
Thank you, PA!
I’m so excited that you are reviewing this blush, I’ve been checking to see if you have. I purchased one in a coral color last week, that I’m still waiting on via mail. I am so loving cream blushes right now! Christine are you gonna review other colors?
Hi Josie,
I just have two 🙂
Wow! LOTS of new blushes coming out this year!!!
Indeed! Wonder if it’ll be like this all year.
Not my color, but I’m excited to hear about the product. I love cream blushes and I love MUFE, so I can’t wait to check out the other colors!
Hopefully one of the sixteen will work for you!
So pretty. You look ready for spring!
Thanks, Cyndi! 🙂
I’ve been wanting to get a cream blush, I really like this one..
The range has a lot of options, so you can find one that is perfect for your coloring!
😀
Oh! How perfect – a similar take on the CHANEL creme blushes at a slightly lower price point is easier to swallow! I don’t own any of the dupes so this should definitely go on my list to try products!
Worth trying if the Chanel ones feel too pricey! They look more similar once they dry, but I did play with them side-by-side and noticed slight texture differences in the pans/as you apply. I had my fingers crossed these would be similar, though 😉 Cheaper and larger variety!
These sound great! I have been very curious to try these blushes since I first heart about them. Now I have to decide on a shade!
There are so many to choose from!
Are you going to be posting swatches of other colors? I’m so intrigued by color #520.
Hi Jaclyn,
I only have two shades – sorry!
I’m growing a fondness for cream blush, so I definitely plan to look at these. I’m going to Disneyland in May, so I plan to stop at the Downtown Disney Sephora, which carries a nice stock of MUFE products. My local stores carry the line, but I have a feeling the range will be extremely limited…
Depends on the gondola is setup, I imagine, as these seem to be replacing the liquid HD Blushes, so if those move out, that’ll give these space, but they’re obviously different shapes, so yeah.
My “main” Sephora has only 3 of the DC’d blush shades, so I’m thinking we’ll be lucky to get 6-8 shades. The Sephora/JCPenney tends to have more shades of everything, but less types of products. Between the two, if I happen to stumble upon a wide range, I’ll have a look, but I won’t go out of my way. I’m not in the market for any face products ATM, so I *think* I can hold out for a couplemof months, LOL!
True, and since these are permanent, no rush 🙂
MUFE, just give me all of your blushes.
Haha! 🙂
So gorgeous! Do you prefer the compact over the pump version of this blush? Are they comparable at all?
I think the packaging matters, because the liquid obviously has a different texture and seems like… crazily pigmented? but it’s going to, given you will likely pump out way, way more than you need – and one pump is lot more than a swipe off the compact, you know? This seems to dry down faster, too, and it is seems more like a powder when used.
Soooo pretty!
It is! 😀
This might come out a bit sheer on me I guess. But def picking up a few from the range! looks lovely on u!
Thank you! xo
I like this relatively undertone-neutral blush! Looks gorgeous on you 🙂
I see a lot of warm-toned ones, which despite my interest in getting into peachy blushes, seem to have a bit of a sunburn-esque look on me 🙁
Thank you, Sylirael!
I know the range should be more diverse than Sephora’s photos make it look!
This shade looks good on you! Good thing we have the same skin tone. 🙂
Btw what lipstick shade are you wearing? It’s so nice!
Revlon Elusive!
Oh I like that one… Looks like it’s just the right blend or pink with a hint of peach. With my red cheeks I can’t wear straight pink or red blushes, I just look like a burn victim!
This might just work for you!
This is a great pink blush! Is this brand available in the UK?
I think there might be a couple of retailers, but I’m not sure.
I love how blendable and buildable these are. I just got one in 210. I especially love the spot to pop out the pan so you can put it in your own palette. I wish more brands did this with their products.
Me too! I love how MUFE makes it easy to “depot”!
