Make Up For Ever #210 HD Blush Review, Photos, Swatches
Make Up For Ever #210 HD Blush
Make Up For Ever #210 HD Blush ($26.00 for 0.09 oz.) is described as a “cool pink.” Urban Decay Blush (P) is powder. Sleek MakeUP Macaroon (P) is warmer, darker. Clinique Plum Pop (04) (P, $21.00) is darker, more shimmery. NARS New Attitude (LE, $29.00) is powder. Milani Delizioso Pink (10) (P, $7.99) is brighter, cooler-toned, powder. Givenchy It-Girl Purple (P, $44.00) is powder. Tarte Dollface (P, $26.00) is slightly darker. MAC Pure Femininity (LE, $20.00) is darker. theBalm Argyle (P, $22.00) is darker, powder. MAC Well Dressed (P, $21.00) is lighter, powder. See comparison swatches.
After trying #330 and #410, I was pretty impressed with the newest cream blush formula from Make Up For Ever. #210 is lightly creamy, somewhat emollient, when initially applied, but it dries down and sets to a very powder-like finish–so it’s smooth, blendable, but it won’t slip around throughout the day. The texture gets more velvety and powder-like when applied, but it still retains the blendability and evenness in color of a traditional cream blush. It had excellent, true-to-pan color payoff, that could easily be applied with a lighter hand for softer, sheer color, or more intensely for a more opaque color. This shade wore well for eight and a half hours before it started to fade.
P.S. — For those that were concerned about lack of cool-toned shades in the new range, don’t trust Sephora’s stock photos–they’re definitely off significantly! The image for this shade makes it look like an orange-coral!

This is so cute! Love the look you did with it.
Thanks, Stephanie!
Gorgeous! And oh, Sephora stock photos. Just… no lol
Like any stock photos, you gotta take ’em with a grain of salt, but these are REALLY off this time.
For a cool pink, it seem to have a lot of yellow in it. Might actually work for me!
It’s pretty cool-toned, but not a bubblegummy pink.
The Sleek palette wasn’t worth the effort, although I really liked Macaroon, so this looks like an excellent option. I swatched a few shades last weekend at Sephora/JCP, but I don’t think this one was there (only about 1/2 the options were on display), and my local standalone store didn’t have them, yet. I think I really want this one!
Did you like any of the other shades that were in store?
I didn’t get a chance to really look at/swatch them all, but from what I could tell, they all ran warmer. I really liked the texture, though, and the colors held up on my hand swatches the rest of the day, even after several hand washings! There were only 10-12 shades, and none were on the either end of the spectrum, only mid-range. I’m going to Disneyland in May, and the Downtown Disney Sephora tends to have a wide selection of MUFE products, so hopefully I can catch the entire range there.
Also, how does this compare to NARS Anguilla?
Anguilla is warmer!
Thanks! I think I’ll go ahead and save myself some money (at least for now!), and go with this one, even if I have to wait a couple of months. Worst case, I’ve been piecing together an online Sephora haul, mainly Illamasqua, but I think I’ll add this.
Fingers crossed!
Only 2.8 grams! =(
Same size as the Chanel blushes!
I wasn’t planning on getting any of these (the pictures on sephora’s site threw me off too) but I LOVE how this looks on you! Do you think this would show up on NC40-42ish skin?
This might be subtle, just because it is a lighter pink, on NC40/42 skin!
Love cream blushes, so excited to try these!…Christine – you mention fingers and brush work well, any preference? And if it is brush, did you have one you’d recommend?? Thank you!!
Usually a brush to get the initial product on, then fingertips to blend 🙂
A real pretty shade! Yeah the sephora pics are way off. Infact even in the PR release pic all the blushes looked very similar! This one looks nothing like those.
It’s crazy how different it looks! The Sephora photos aren’t doing the line any favors.
I’ve heard great things about these- glad you’re loving them too! This shade is so fresh and pretty 🙂
I’m really liking them so far!
I love this cream blush, it’s my kind of pink! 😉
Yay! ;D
Hooray for cool-toned blushes! This one looks lovely 🙂
I feel like we don’t see enough cool-toned blushes at the moment (especially in new/limited edition collections). I’m probbly just not looking hard enough, but it’s a feeling I’ve had for a while.
I feel like there are so many cool pink blushes, LOL! When I look through the gallery, I feel like cool-toned, cotton candy/bubblegum pink is quite popular!
I suppose that’s true – I’m such a blush n00b that I’ve just been going on recent popular collections liek the Hourglass ones and the NARS matte multiples! 😀
Maybe it’s just because I’ve seen so much MAC 😉 MAC loves themselves a blue-based pink.
looks beautiful on you!
Thanks, Barbie! 🙂
I’d love to get my hands on this 😀 love the look too.
xoxo anne
Thanks, Anne! Hope you can try 🙂
Now these have been tempting me BIG time. I especially love 210 here… and 510. Swatching 510 in person was to die for. It’s such a gorgeous deep red!! Ugh! Might have to buy it very soon!
Hopefully you can try one on soon and see how it wears for you!
I bought one of these blushes and have already returned it. The blush only lasted a couple hours before it faded completely on my…sad as i had high hopes for it
Oh no! 🙁 What shade was it?
I swear, Christine, you can read my mind. I was just opening your website with the thought of asking you to review this because I’m thinking if buying it and BAM, there it is!
If I’m not mistaken, is it only on your left cheek? Your left, not mine.
Yup, my left or your right.
Yay!
Looks lovely with the plum lipstick you’re wearing!
Thanks, Ankita!
This is fantastic on you, Christine. You look ready for spring. 🙂
Thank you!
Nice! I almost passed on these based on the Sephora site. I want this one now 🙂
The text descriptions seem to be more accurate!
how does this compare with chanel inspiration? it’s my fav blush ever that i got cause of your review! love those chanel cream blushes!
Chanel Inspiration is warmer! 🙂 On, they’re more similar than different, so you might try something else if you want a different shade or consider this is if you run out of your Chanel!
Pretty sure #210 is my favorite out of this whole collection. Definitely a color I could see myself wearing quite often!
Yay!! 🙂
I really want to try on these! I’ll definitely check them out in stores though or wait for more swatches. The Sephora pics are way off smh
I know! Like not even a lighter/darker issue but night and day!
Such a cute shade! Great for spring!
Agreed!
LoVe your blush/lip combo. Gorgeous!! I’ve been waiting for these to come out bc i’m still on the fence about investing in Chanel Inspiration (or was it LE?) or this? How does the Chanel compare to the MUFE?
Inspiration is warmer, and it is permanent!
Oh I wanna try this! Do you know if they stock in the UK?
MUFE lists http://gurumakeupemporium.com/
hi Christine! how is it compared to the old hd blush #4? Have they kept the old colours in the new range? thank you!
I think #4 might be a bit cooler-toned, but I really don’t know if they’ve kept the previous shades in this one or not. I’m sure some are similar, but I haven’t heard that they’re the same.
