MAC x Min Liu All Year Red Cream Colour Base Review, Photos, Swatches
All Year Red
MAC x Min Liu All Year Red Cream Colour Base ($26.00 for 0.21 oz.) is a vibrant, medium poppy red with warm, orange undertones and a natural finish. It had rich, opaque color coverage–a little went a long way–with a smooth, moderately emollient consistency that was thin, lightly tacky, and had a natural finish. I found that this particular shade seemed to dry down a bit more than most Cream Colour Bases after a few minutes, so it had more of a “natural matte” finish on my cheeks. Though the formula is supposed to be buildable, this particular shade is very pigmented, and I’d say that to get sheerer coverage takes an incredibly light hand and a fair amount of blending. Medium coverage was easier to obtain with using a light hand and just blending and diffusing the edges with a stippling brush or fingertips. It wore well for nine hours on me before fading noticeably.

Wow, this is a pretty color and finish! Love your face look!
Thanks, Katherine! 🙂
Gorgeous. Probably too pigmented for me though. I have had some bad experiences with too much red cream blush lol!
Totally understand!! A little goes such a long way as a blusher!
Lovely true red blush! Very fresh looking as opposed to old-fashioned rouge reds of yesteryear. Although I have a feeling it wouldn’t have the same effect on aging cheeks, I’d be afraid of looking like Sweet Baby Jane!
It’s one of those shades that can be tough to apply just right!
Ooh, I love this! I have such a weak spot for red creams – I NEVER use them, but they’re always so tempting!
It actually looks very pink undertoned on my screen… am I seeing things?
A good, rich, lovely red. I’m not a fan of creme blushes and I have a close enough for me dupe in Frankly Scarlet, an all time favourite.
I love how it looks but worry about how easy it is to overdo.
Very bright, but I love how you have incorporated it into your look – very subtle.
can this be used on lips?
Yes!
