MAC Well Dressed Blush ($21.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as an “immaculate pink [with a Satin finish].” It’s a light-medium, blue-based pink with cool undertones and a soft, satiny sheen. MAC Pure Femininity is darker. theBalm Down Boy is slightly darker, less shimmery. NYX English Rose is warmer. MAC Stay Pretty is darker, less cool-toned. MAC Sunday Afternoon is lighter, cooler-toned. Bobbi Brown Nude pink is darker, less shimmery. See comparison swatches.

It had fairly good color payoff, but it is not intensely pigmented. The color is somewhat buildable to about medium-full coverage applied with a blush brush, so those with medium and darker complexions may find it too subtle for their liking. For reference, I’m about NC30 and it just shows up softly on me when applied more heavily. For fairer complexions, though, it is an easier blush to use without fearing it will be too bright and bold against the skin. The texture is soft, finely-milled, and silky–just a smidgen powdery but doesn’t look it on the skin–so it is easy to blend and diffuse the edges. It wore well for almost eight hours on me, and then it showed some signs of fading after eight and a half hours of wear.

I am of the opposite opinion; I think this blush looks great on Christine, and gives a natural flush (but then, it could just be my screen!). It’s interesting, though, as my skintone isn’t nearly as warm, but this shade looked ghastly on me.

I tried this one a few months back, and it just looked off. I’m pretty light (between NARS Siberia & Deauville, MUFE 115, MAC NC15, etc), but it just seemed a bit chalky. I ended up with Brit Wit, instead, and Stay Pretty looks like it may be worth a look, as well as NYX English Rose.

I love the shade and I used NC25 in Mac. Though because this is a satin finish, some how it amplified my large pores. I wish Mac made this shade but in a matte finish.

Arrgh! This blush is the bane of my makeup existence! I am very pale. I range from NW10-NW13 at my darkest, so it’s not like this blush shouldn’t show up on me. I actually think I got a dud because I can hardly get a swatch to show up on my finger. So many people of the internet absolutely rave about this color but for the life of me I just can’t get it to work. 🙁

I’m on the lighter end, as well, and this just looked strange on me. I went in specifically looking for a pale, cool-toned pink, and actually had the SA apply it to my face (which is something I very rarely do) after first trying it on my inner arm, where it also looked “off”. perhaps it was a dud, as well, but it looks really pretty on Christine, so I’ll probably try it again, LOL.

So glad you reviewed this one–I’ve been debating over getting it for weeks! 🙂 Anyone know how it compares to Benefit’s Thrrrob? They look pretty similar to me so I don’t know if I can justify the purchase…

I have fair-medium to medium complexion (I think) and this is a cult favourite but I’m not sure if should get it… What do you think? 🙂
