MAC Uninhibited Mineralize Eyeshadow Duo ($22.00 for 0.06 oz.) is described as a “shimmery light grey.” The formula can be used wet or dry, with the dry application being sheerer and the color is described as buildable. The color is sheer to buildable, as described, but the texture of the darker shade is drier and almost crumbly.

Uninhibited #1 is a warm gray with a metallic sheen. It had sheer color payoff applied dry, and it intensified to mostly opaque color coverage when applied with a dampened brush. The consistency was slightly dry but went on evenly. It wore well for seven and a half hours before fading. Tarte C’est La Vie (LE) is lighter. NARS Lysithea (P, $29.00) is darker. NARS Lost Coast #1 (LE, $24.00) is warmer. bareMinerals Pewter (LE, $14.00) is darker. MAC Arctic Grey (LE, $15.00) is similar. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

Uninhibited #2 is a medium-dark gray with a frosted finish. It was very sheer applied dry, and then it was semi-opaque applied damp, but it was always somewhat uneven and more challenging to blend on the skin. The texture was dry and crumbly to work with. It lasted for seven hours on me before fading. Makeup Geek Graphite (P, $5.99) is warmer. Dior Golden Reflections #1 (LE) is similar. Makeup Geek Galaxy (P, $5.99) is darker. Makeup Geek Prince Charming (P, $6.99) is lighter. Illamasqua Graphica (P) is darker. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when a review will be posted as we can't commit to or guarantee product reviews. We don't want to set expectations and then disappoint readers as even products that are swatched don't always end up being reviewed due to time constraints and changes in priorities! Thank you for understanding!

Again, I love how you created your eye, but these products are possibly more crappy than the pantone kind! Wil you please be reviewing that? Thank you! 😛

Interesting… in the first picture, I literally could not see a difference between the two shades. Your second photo with the zoom made it more obvious but I just don’t think I’d spend money on a “duo” that doesn’t really give me two distinct shades! 😛

LOL Surely they were all well-beyond wasted at the MAC offices when they came up with these ‘duos’! They would’ve made perfect sense to release on April Fools Day 🙂
