MAC Me Over: Stunner Blush

MAC Stunner Blush ($19.50 for 0.21 oz.) is described a “light coral pink” with a satin finish. It has more pink than coral–I would describe as a pale, strawberry pink with a hint of peach. It has a champagne-beige sheen, which gives it a less-than-perfectly-pink color. It is pinker than the softer side ofย MAC Mighty Aphrodite. It is a little lighter thanย Benefit Bella Bamba.

What’s nice about this shade is that despite its lightness, there is no chalky look or feel, and the pigmentation is there–but as a lighter color, it’s just light. I expect this shade to do well and be one of the more popular items from the launch; I think it will flatter cool and warm complexions. I do think it might be too light for deeper skin tones, but it might make a nice rosy highlighter.

i think i’ll skip this one, cos i can get the same sort of colour layering coralista over bella bamba! might soung weird, but surprisingly it works ๐Ÿ™‚ what you think Christine, could that be any close dupe IYO?

and BTW, i was keen to ask what foundation have you been using in your recent shots, skin looks flawless!! is it Parure Gold+Les Violettes combo still? i love it myself for photos

You look so stunning in this picture, Christine! I really like this blush, and also really love that Offshoot lipstick on you.

(oh and the new design looks BRILLIANT)

I picked this up at my local Pro store on Thursday! It’s not like I need another blush but this one swatched beautifully and, after wearing it yesterday, I can say it looks gorgeous on as well!

WOW …. its freaking awesome shade …… although i was not planning to buy anything from this but this is def. going to be my pic and your rating made me all the more excited …

you are looking so adorable honey ๐Ÿ™‚

This looks fantastic on you! I don’t know if it’s the lighting in your picture, but the satin finish of this blush seems to give your cheek a really nice glow. ๐Ÿ™‚

Christine, you need to keep that cheek and lipcolor in your stash forever! When I look at the last photo, I don’t think “ooh that’s a nice color” I think, “wow, Christine looks lovely.”
It’s like that combo was made just for you!

Rose Quartz looks browner on me and it’s way less pigmented if you use the colors together (and if you just use the outer pink, then they’re even more different) –

This blush is even prettier than I thought it would be. So is Offshoot lipstick! Thanks for the terrific reviews! I like the new site design. It’s very pretty!

Is Stunner “in person” close to how it looks in the photo? If it is, I will be 100% happy with it. Since it’s a limited edition, I will probably purchase two.

Sally Avatar

Wow, so that’s just your natural flush on your right cheek? I’m jealous, you look gorgeous!

This is a really pretty blush though. I think I’m tempted!

mixi Avatar

how would you say stunner is compared to alpha girl (in terms of pigmentation and color)? alpha girl did nothing for me and i read stunner wasn’t very pigmented as well

Hello Christine

Thank you for these great swatches. Do you think you will do any swatch comparisons like what your did for MAC Marine Life? In the meanwhile, I was wondering if you can comment how MAC Stunner compares to MAC Instant Chic (which was also described as a corally pink).

Many thanks in advance for your insight ^_^

I love this! I have tarte’s cheek stain in Tipsy and I think this would go fabulously with it! With my super pale skin peachy/pink on the cheeks gives me just enough of a natural flush ๐Ÿ™‚

civa Avatar

Hi Christine, may I ask what’s on your right cheek? I know it’s not the focus of the photo but it seems like a nice, soft, barely there flush of color. ๐Ÿ™‚

I currently wear this shade and I lalalove it! I wasn’t aware it was limited edition when I bought it. I wear Studio Fix Fluid in NC15. Do you know any similar shades that would suit me?! ๐Ÿ™‚

Ana Avatar

You know, I just realized that also when I was browsing through the site and came up on this review and I was like, “Hey, I have that blush and it doesn’t look that bright!”.ย  Yeah, My Stunner is also a light pink shade…hmmmmm
