Long-time MAC fans will recognize this name, as it was released with the MAC Loves Barbie collections many years ago. I remember wearing the life out of this product when I bought it then; it was one of my favorite MAC cheek products. This version is slightly darker with a warmer tone (less pink) compared to the one I have from before; they have a similar sheen, and the color difference is only notable when applied more heavily. The bigger difference is my original has a softer, more buttery consistency, but I didn’t have any issues with the texture of this year’s version practically speaking (the original felt more luxurious). Beauty Powders “can be applied as a highlight, soft blush, or overall finish,” according to MAC. The texture was soft, smooth, and finely-milled, while it had semi-sheer, buildable coverage, which is line with how the product is marketed (“veil of colour”). It adds glowing sheen to the skin without emphasizing pores. This shade lasted for eight hours on me before fading.

I might snag this if I can! It looks like a great shimmery blush or blush topper for the very pale like me.
I bet it would be a highlighting blush on you!
Is this LE? Not sure why MAC has to re-release a product with a different color than the original, seems to be happening more and more 🙁
how do these beauty powders compare to Hourglass Ambient Lighting powders as a finishing powder? Are they the same subtlety or are they a bit more pigmented?
It says “Limited Edition” by the rating. Hourglass powders have a much more powdery texture and far less shimmer/color!
Wowzers, that sure is a beauty! Going on my never-ending wishlist! Haha!?
Yay!
I really love it but I try not to buy too much for myself right before Christmas 🙁 I spend a lot on gifts.
Awww!
I like this! I might need it in my collection.
It’s nice!
Christine, this look is super pretty on you! You wear these tones so well!
Thank you, Christina! xo
Really liking this. Might added to my Mac collection.
Oooh, nice!
I want this! I wasn’t on the MAC bandwagon when the MAC loves Barbie collection was out. So, I missed this then. I bet that was a fun collection!
Worth picking up! It is a little painful as someone who has the original to know it’s not QUITE as soft, but functionally and practically speaking, it looks very similar on and is still easy to use!
I’ve already made contact with my local MAC counter SA for this collection! Lol.
That’s beautiful! It would make a great blush.
It would!
Yay, I was eyeing this powder, so I’m happy it got a good rating! Looks fabulous on you!
x.
Yayyyy!
Okay. I’m sold.
Haha!
Stunning! MAC is on a roll with these!
They are!
Too peachy for my skintone, but looks great on you, and I’m sure on many people
Bummer!!
That looks great on you! I think it might be too warm for me.
Awww!
I like the peach tone vs pink, and think I will pick one up. Becca Rosegold is too, well, rosy for me and this looks more subtle for my coloring (NC 25-30). Another Christmas present for myself, but it IS LE after all!
Happy Christmas to you! 🙂
It’s a really gorgeous and flattering colour. Love it.
It has a great sheen!
I’m confused with beauty powders… I see how it can be a blush, even a color highlight, but as a finish all over the face ? Wouldn’t it be too much color ? I don’t want to look like oompa loompa…
They can be used however you think would work for you – it really depends on your application method + coloring. If you are very fair, then it is less easily used all-over, but if you are deeper in color, then it could work.
Hi Christine! Do you think this would be ok for a NC42 skin as an all-over powder, just to give that special glow ou it would be a bit too much…Thanks!! 🙂
I think it would work 🙂
Okay this collection is turning out to be trouble for me lol. I’ve been wanting this powder since I got into makeup which was way after the Barbie collection so I missed out. I’m so happy MAC is re-releasing it though. It’s stunning!
It’s one of the best MAC has done this year, I think.
Hi Christine,
How does this compare to Cindy Lou Manizer? Thanks!
Cindy-Lou is lighter and pinker, less shimmery!
Would this show up on like nc 42 and deeper? How is color payoff between this and the cheek pollen blush?
Cheek Pollen is a blush, so it is more pigmented!
