MAC Make You Mine Pro Longwear Blush ($26.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “dirty salmon.” It’s a muted, medium copper-plum with a very fine gold shimmer-sheen–it’s more like a soft, satin finish. Gucci Beauty Cherry Nectar (P, $49.00) is darker. Tom Ford Beauty Contour (Softcore) (LE, $55.00) is pinker. MAC Sea Me, Hear Me (LE, $25.00) is lighter. MAC Scene to Be Seen (Inner) (LE, $32.00) is more shimmery. Benefit Rockateur (P, $28.00) is lighter. Bobbi Brown Nude Beach Blush (LE, $26.00) is slightly darker. MAC Ambering Rose (P, $21.00) is more shimmery, warmer. See comparison swatches / view dupes.

The texture of this blush is brilliant–soft, silky, smooth–and done so well that it almost feels like a cream product rather than a powder. MAC really nailed the formula here, as it is delivers the promised buildable color, blends easily, and wears for eight hours (exactly as claimed). The finish has a very subtle sheen to it that translates more as your-skin-but-better, so there’s no emphasis of pores, and it’s not really shimmery. That slight sheen keeps it from looking too dull or matte against the skin. And good news, it is permanent! You can purchase it in pan format through MAC and pop it into your empty palette of choice, which will save you $7 (which almost pays for the empty palette!).

The blush looks so beautiful on you! I personally don’t usually wear it because my face is naturally super rosy but I am always envious of those who can because it looks so beautiful! Great post 🙂

Wow – this got some great ratings! 10’s across the board. So glad to hear it’s permanent! I’ve recently acquired two MAC blushes that don’t have a home (as my first palette is full) so I “need” four more to complete a new one. This is definitely on the list! Seems like it will be awesome for the Summer. 🙂

why does mac keep releasing ONLY satin blushes??? i dont like the satin formula at all. its not very finely milled and gets hard on top after a few uses. the matte and shimmer/sheertone formulas are so much better in my opinion. at least they could switch it up a little

Yaaay I’m so glad you reviewed this product as I always find your reviews to be the most helpful . I check your blog twice a day lol. Last week I don’t know what made me buy this product well Ofcourse because it’s a part of the latest collection anyway I was skeptical and kept checking your blog to see if you got it aswell and if so, what your thoughts were. So yeah now I’m actually really happy I got this blush 🙂 😀

Hi Christine,
At the beginning I went for crazed imagination, but since I have animal instinct, I decided to skip
I bought today make you mine instead based on your rating, indeed it feels smooth and color is amazing..
I’m happy about this choice

Got this yesterday at Mac – it looks really nice on my olive/yellow undertones skin! It’s my first Mac blush and there’s something different about it than other blushes that I will try to describe. It’s somehow less powdery, yet not as immediately intense as the other blushes I’ve tried to figure out (wet and wild, nars, hard candy and UD) but it builds color beautifully!

This reminds me of Laura Mercier spiced cider– anyone know how it compares?

As a side note, could that description of dirty salmon be grosser?? Conjures a really disgusting smell/visual 😛
