This sound amazing, i’d like to see the 2 limited edition lipstick, the lipglasses sound good too, for those who like mac lipglasses, I found them to sticky, but those colors are beautiful, saint germain lipglass must be beautiful.

Lacey J. Avatar

do you know if they are going to make peachstock permanent on the main site? i dont have access to mac pro 🙁

omg peachstock lipglass. i wish they would make the permanent! i am more of a lipgloss girl than a lipstick person!

Amandale Avatar

I love this. Even though a majority of the LS are permanent, if you wanted to try a bright lipstick but are shy to you can try the lipglass! Yum!

Maud Avatar

Yay I’m excited I almost swapped a big ticket item for razzledazzler on MAke up alley and it fell through and then two days later this collection shows up, I will be at pro first thing Thursday, so excited!! But otherwise this collection is sort of odd, not necessarily bad just strange and random.

Anne Avatar

I am ridiculously excited for this – matching polishes to lippies, especially ones that already have AND lipglasses – too much for me to take. I am now financially doomed!

Leslie Avatar

I wasn’t interested in this at first, but now I’m a little curious about the LE lipsticks and lipglasses. Christine, will you be swatching/reviewing all the shades?

Meghann Avatar

MAC is speaking my language now. MAC is #1 on my list for the best lip gloss. I’ll probably get stuff out of this collection rather than the famous summer collection that I usually rack up on. The only way my lip gloss will be poppin like lil’ mama says in her song is to get a MAC lipglass. So I will definitely pick up a few LE lipglasses. 🙂

Pamela M Avatar

Um yea….why couldnt MAC do more limited edition lipsticks/glasses. Still interested though. Would love to have angel in lip glass form.

Devi Avatar

Lol, I came here just to ask. I thought that maybe you were allowed to choose both options now, in case you couldn’t decide whether you loved it or wanted to leave it.

I don’t think that’s a great idea in particular, but it made me laugh.

amy Avatar

This would make more sense if they were actually sold as sets. How annoying would it be to go and buy a coordinated set in a particular shade, only to find the LS or NP is sold out and you’d have to track down the other part, especially since most of the LS is permanent, and many may already have it. This is probably the worst marketing plan MAC has come up with, because you know all the ebay sellers are going to snatch up the LE polishes, which are *all* of them, and crank up the prices. Well, I guess as long as MAC meets their profit margin, they don’t care who buys them. Wow, what a way to show appreciation to your market base, MAC…

Hanny Kim Avatar

Oh my Gosh!! Peacy stock lipglass! what a wonderful new products..especially .. satin finish makes my lip super dry.! so i need this lipglass!

Ava Avatar

This is a nice set! Although I already have angel, ravishing, pink nouveau, and please me. Do they come in a set of 3 or can you buy them separately?

PinkDiva512 Avatar

I am so new to makeup but I NEED the trio that is pictured on the second model…the light pink one. I have read all the descriptions but cant figure it out…. Please help….

Kafka Avatar

@PinkDiva512 I think that’s probably St. Germain. I’m not a Mac person generally but I bought it recently as it’s my favorite shade of pink. St. Germain is much lighter than Pink Nouveau and the photo shows Tokyo which the captions seem to indicate is the city they have associated with St. Germain. (Even though it should be Paris which is where St. Germain is actually located!)

Miss Steff Avatar

Whoa…the description got me all excited..the photos make it look like a swing and (maybe)a miss :-/ Can’t wait for the review:)

Gina C Avatar

Half of me was like, “THIS IS SO PERFECT,” and the other half was like, this is a really lazy way for them to make money without coming up with new shades. Regardless, I’m really excited!

xamyx Avatar

I would actually be interested in some of these “sets”, were they actually being sold as sets. How annoying will it be to choose a lip shade, only to find that all the nail colors have been snatched up by ebay resellers, who jack up the prices, due to the LE status of the nail polish? I guess MAC doesn’t really care, as long as they make their profit margin. Wow, what a way to show appreciation for their loyal followers. This sort of thing is what really turned me off MAC.

Hannah Avatar

@xamyx I’m actually quite relieved that tehy are not being sold as sets! I’m not a huge lipglass fan, so I’ll probably only be buying the lipsticks and nailpolishes. And, I already own several of these lipsticks and would like a matching nailpolish, and it would be such a pain to have to buy a set (and thus have 2 of a lipstick) in order to get my hands on the polish.

If anything, not selling these in sets seems more geared toward loyal followers, since they probably already have many of the permanent shades!

xamyx Avatar

@Emi at Project Swatch Then why not make the polishes at least semi-perm, and sell them as sets, as well? Or, at least rotate them into the perm line? My biggest issue, is that MAC has to know that so much of their LE goes up on ebay, at a minimum mark-up of 3-4X MSRP, with alot of that having to do with the hype they surround the collections with. If I want a matching LS & NP, I want to be able to walk into a MAC store and get both, not have to try to track the other down all over, or turn to a greedy online reseller.

Laura Avatar

I’m super excited for an entire Myth line, it’s my hg of all time! I’m also super excited for peachstock I lost my old one!

VernLovesMac Avatar

@Christine will all these colors be available in the US?  Also will they be at all MAC counters or just pro stores.  I rememeber I could not buy anything from the Iris Apfel Collection at my local Macy’s MAC Counter. Thank you.

Christine-Temptalia Avatar

@VernLovesMac  Yes, they’re going to be in the U.S.  I’m not sure the distribution of counters/online/PRO, as official information won’t be released until the 26th – but I know that ALL of these shades are available online to PRO members and should be available to all next week.

maudrush Avatar

@Christine (Temptalia) i went to my pro store today and in-stores you can only buy the ones in the “north america collection” its really annoying because all the colors that i wanted were in the “asia collection” and i don’t really want to order before i see them in person ;(

Emily Avatar

This is such a brillian idea, to have matching lipglasses to the permanent lipsticks.  I don’t understand why they wouldn’t make the lipglasses permanent though.  I don’t know if it’s just me, but I enjoy having an exact match lipgloss with my lipstick.  It makes the work much easier.  I really enjoy the ad campain for this collection, by the way.

Mel Avatar

I am interested in the LE shades, but Saint Germain, Rebel, and GAT in a lipglass form? Hello!?! Where do I sign up? Looks like another early morning visit to MAC on the way to class. 🙂

Yazmin Avatar

Im a bit confused.  So they have all these colors coming out which you can buy separate?  Or/and you choose from the 7 sets which are minis?

PinkDiva512 Avatar

@Christine (Temptalia)  so 7 above are going to be available both separately and as a set of minis?  What is the price of the sets?

PinkDiva512 Avatar

@Christine (Temptalia) But in the description above it says” that we created 3-piece mini-collections of Lipstick, Lipglass, and Nail Lacquer trios in 7 classic palettes. Perfectly coordinated, regionally inspired.”

Christine-Temptalia Avatar

@PinkDiva512 They are referring to the concept of the same shade of lipstick, lipgloss, and nail polish. They’re not sold in sets, and there are no minis or anything like that. Each piece is available individually and each piece is full-sized! If you bought each shade in lipstick, lipglass, and nail polish formula, it would be $45 – same as if you bought each piece individually.

Wendy Lynne Misener Avatar

Anyone know the colour in the lower right hand picture? Wondering if it is Russian Red which I already own. In this photo, it seems to look a little more pinky perhaps.

Ucheju Akporiaye Avatar

As nice as it is, I do wonder what is the difference if use a Mac lippy and apply clear gloss or as mac wld call it lipglass on it?

Daniellenm30 Avatar

Oh my god… I can’t control my excitement. I don’t think MAC polish is the greatest quality, but I like the idea for this collection. And I’m curious about the limited edition lipsticks.

gabi Avatar

I swooned the first time I heard about this collection, but now that I see there’s nothing special about it- no special packages, no miniatures or makeup bags, nor even sets or gifts combining each color’s products- the sparkle has gone. I’m not a lipgloss girl and since most of the lipsticks are permanent , only the nail lacquers are interesting for me.  I still think this was a genious idea from MAC but I wish they had put on a little more effort making this a special collection rather than just random products united by the same color. I hate when limited collection items can be mistaken for regular permanent ones because they have no special package or label. It just doesn’t feel like a collection.

gabi Avatar

Plus, they would sell a lot more of the permanent items, the lipsticks, if the collection had a different package or product kits. It’s interesting how they had this brilliant idea but didn’t take full advantage of its potential like they could. This collection could really be a top top selling one.
