MAC Immortal Flower Blush Review, Photos, Swatches

MAC Immortal Flower Blush
MAC Immortal Flower Blush

MAC Immortal Flower Blush ($21.00 for 0.21 oz.) is described as a “bright peach [with a Satin finish].” It’s a soft, pink-coral with a subtle, satin sheen. Tom Ford Frantic Pink is more shimmery, pinker. Guerlain Blush G is more shimmery. MAC Supercontinental is darker, pinker. MAC Legendary is pinker. MAC Flaming Chic is darker and pinker. MAC Shell Pearl is more shimmery. Giorgio Armani Coral Bliss is more orange. See comparison swatches.

Immortal Flower had nice, buildable color that seemed to apply pinker on the skin than it looked in the pan (where it looked mostly peach/orange). The texture is soft, almost powdery but not quite, and feels finely-milled and goes on smoothly. It does have a tendency to sheer out, so medium and darker complexions will need to build in layers and be careful not to over-blend. It looks mostly matte on the skin, but as the powder is buffed into the skin, the glowy sheen starts to come through. I’ll be testing this blush for wear today, but I generally get between seven and eight hours of wear with MAC’s satin finish blushes.

This is a beautiful color. Do you think it clashes a bit with the orange lipsticks from this collection? I feel it’s more on the pinky side the the orangy.

Beautiful blush! Which one of the blushes from this collection would you recommend for medium dark skin tones? I’m an NC44. Thank you!

Is this a softer pan then last year’s Tres Cheek release? That thing was hard as a rock, and you had to either scrape the surface with a metal object, or use a brutally tough brush to tear through the hard crust on top! I didn’t re-order the color as I will never hit pan on this and I do have it, but I’m very curious if they improved it this way. I was not the only one with that problem, either; I know almost a dozen people online who also could never get any pigment to lift onto a standard blush brush for this specific color–but that was last year.

Nice! Then for fair skin, this is a must-have blush. I love this color a lot! I may consider grabbing a new one, but I soooo do NOT need more blush. 🙁 I already ordered the other 2 shades, and they’ll be here this afternoon, along with 4 of the lipsticks. I’m not even into orange!! gah… *addict*

Christine, do you find this exactly the same as the one that was released with Tres Cheek? It looks a little different this time around on your cheeks, maybe softer and less pink than the first time around?

Thanks!

Hey Christine!
I’m loving the new system for reviews! Very organized & easy to navigate!
Do you think any of the three blushes from this collection are similar to the Archie’s Girls blush in Cream Soda?

In the close-up swatch, this looks a bit like a softer version of theBalm’s FratBoy, which I do have. Do you think Do you think this blush is different enough to be worth buying as well, or would FratBoy with a light hand essentially produce the same effect?

How would you compare the color to MAC Garb I ran out months ago and I have been looking for a good dupe ever since .. It’s was part of the Pret-a-Papier collection plz help 🙂 xoxo Andi

Soooo happy they are relaunching this… I think it’s my favorite blush for my fair somewhat olive skin tone? It’s so subtle, but I find the color is unique. I think it’s pigmented enough, when blushes are too strong it’s easy to over do it, then it’s a total b**** to fix! Ahem.. Inglot blushes! Beautiful color, I’m excited to pick up another.

Glad I got it when it first came out! I really love it, works so well with my pale skin, and is very subtle. Sold out very fast last time, this time will probably be the same 🙂

I love this blush! I’ve had this since it came out in the Tres Cheek collection 🙂
My only problem is that it kinda dries in the pan and I have to scrape out some of the powder off before my brush picks up a decent amount to pat on my cheeks :\

Thank you so much for the great pictures!! How does this compare to Cream Soda blush? I have seen Immortal Flower in person (it swatches so beautifully!) and it looks so similar to Cream Soda in my mind… But I am certain that if I held them side-by-side that they are different enough to have both….. Right? Haha 😉
