Between your reviews and watching Amanda from Makeup.Just.For.Fun struggle with getting opacity and coverage using that green in her tutorial, I am very disappointed in this year’s MAC holiday eyeshadow singles. I’m giving them a hard pass.
I saw these in store a few weeks ago and in the abstract they look so pretty – the sparkliness, the design on the surface, the packaging – but I knew that they were just way too frosty for me (and that’s saying something!). And these are the sorts of shades – especially that pink one – that look so pretty (again, in the abstract) but which I don’t wear. I do like the green one, which rated better than many of the others, but I’ve got dupes.
I didn’t think that these would be good when we were first shown the swatches some time ago. The green shade is the best of the bunch.
Where did you find the swatches of the green? They’re missing here.
Fixed!
But they look so pretty! 🙁
I really do like the pink and the green, but there are so many pinks and greens that perform so much better, I even have some, so no. No MAC eyeshadows for me, this year.
A big thank you for the reviews!
Another label with a major makeup hangover.
What is with OG brands putting out terrible products that they should have made dozens of times in the past and should have no trouble with? Is it cost cutting with materials? Switching to vegan materials?
It’s odd ’cause MAC has several formulas they’ve used in the past for holiday color collections that are wayyy better!
I know, brands that we know can do a better product seem to often just put out some garbage! I don’t understand.
