Sunphoria (Feminine Wiles)

MAC Sunphoria (Feminine Wiles) Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a light lavender with subtle, warm undertones and a bright, metallic finish that was slightly more sparkly than other shades in the same formula. The texture was soft, lightly creamy, and blendable without being too firmly or too softly pressed into the pan, though it wasn’t quite as creamy as other shades in the line. It had good pigmentation applied dry but it was more pigmented applied with a dampened brush (while also making the finish more metallic). This shade lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

This shade was previously released as “Feminine Wiles” in 2015. I think the formula felt slightly creamier across the board, but it’s possible there’s been some change in texture in that 5-year period! The shimmer in the just-released shades seemed a touch finer or else the base pigment came through a bit, which gave the end result a smoother, more reflective finish.

Tide 'n' Seek (Magic in Your Eyes)

MAC Tide ‘n’ Seek (Magic in Your Eyes) Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a medium-dark purple-taupe with subtle, warmer undertones and almost cool-toned sheen that gave it a metallic finish overall. The consistency felt soft, smooth, and lightly creamy that made it dense but still yielding and easy to pick up with a brush.

It applied well both wet as well as dry with full coverage delivered in a single layer, but the finish was smoother and more metallic applied wet. It wore nicely for eight and a half hours before fading a bit.

I think the formula felt slightly creamier across the board, but it’s possible there’s been some change in texture in that 5-year period! White Haute (Fairy Land)

MAC White Haute (Fairy Land) Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a light-medium gold with strong, warm undertones–but not to the point where it leaned orange–paired with a metallic sheen. It had excellent pigmentation in a single layer, regardless of dry or wet application, though the dampened application resulted in a smoother sheen.

The texture felt smooth to the touch, more like a cream-powder that was dense but not thick or stiff, so it picked up well with a brush and had good adhesion to bare skin. This shade lasted well for eight hours before fading noticeably.

This shade was previously released as “Fairy Land” in 2015. I think the formula felt slightly creamier across the board, but it’s possible there’s been some change in texture in that 5-year period! Monaco-co (Enchanted Forest)

MAC Monaco-co (Enchanted Forest) Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a rich, deeper gold with moderate, warm undertones and a bright, metallic finish. It had opaque color payoff applied dry as well as wet, but the dampened application intensified the sheen to be more reflective, slightly smoother.

The texture felt lightly creamy, dense and almost like a gel-powder, as it had a touch of give but was still quite powder-like during application. It wore well for eight and a half hours before fading visibly on me.

This shade was previously released as “Enchanted Forest” in 2015. I think the formula felt slightly creamier across the board, but it’s possible there’s been some change in texture in that 5-year period! Sand Tropez (Faerie Fayre)

MAC Sand Tropez (Faerie Fayre) Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is a medium, coppery bronze with warm, undertones and metallic sheen. It had rich color coverage that applied evenly to bare skin and blended out nicely along the edges.

The dry application wasn’t quite as metallic compared to the dampened application but both yielded the same level of pigment. The consistency felt smooth to the touch, dense without being too creamy or thick, and was easy to pick up with a brush. It stayed on nicely for eight and a half hours before showing signs of fading.

This shade was previously released as “Faerie Fayre” in 2015. I think the formula felt slightly creamier across the board, but it’s possible there’s been some change in texture in that 5-year period! The shimmer in the just-released shades seemed a touch finer or else the base pigment came through a bit, which gave the end result a smoother, more reflective finish.

I have the originals and use them fairly often. Based off of swatches, the new ones definitely look a bit richer and smoother; mine weren’t even like that when I first bought them, and I’m pretty sure my Feminine Wiles was pretty light in pigmentation and more sparkly than anything. I’ll probably pick a new one up because this one looks so much better!

I do love the formula on these, though. There’s a subtle twinkle and glow to them that I don’t get with regular eyeshadow, and everytime I wear one, someone comments on it. 🙂

I’m liking Tide n Seek (though I don’t have any of the top dupes and I’m wondering if it’s because, in real life, this just isn’t a great colour for me) and Monaco-co. I do think it’s shabby, though, that these are just new names for re-promotes. Folks who don’t come to this site or others that provide that information may well find themselves unwillingly buying the same shades that they’ve bought in past and I think that’s more than a bit deceptive on MAC’s part unless they’re making this well-known at their own site.

These DO look better this time around, don’t they, though? At first I thought it was just me, but your analysis proves that I wasn’t just imagining it!
Because I totally missed out on getting the then very sought after Fairy Fayre, I immediately put Sand Tropez in my cart with Would Rather Lounge Lipglass and hit pay. Wasn’t about to miss out again on this stunning copper beauty!
This time around, it’s Monaco-co (Enchanted Forest) that sold out in one hot minute.

I love all of these! I think they are beautiful shades that would work well with any other shades in your stash. Gorgeous colours and the formula is so good. It’s not often that MAC produces something so excellent across the board. I love your eye look too.

Hi, in the MAC website I found them under “new”, “just in” and then “bronzer” – it’s the name of the collection. 3 are already sold out it seems.
