MAC Magic In Your Eyes Foiled Eyeshadow

MAC Magic In Your Eyes Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “soft lilac.” It’s a muted, medium-dark purple with warm, mauve undertones and a silver sparkle over a more metallic finish. It had great pigmentation whether used dry or damp, but the finish became more metallic when used damp. This shade applied well and blended out easily, while the color wore for eight hours before creasing.

MAC Feminine Wiles Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “light pearly pink.” It’s a light-medium pink with cooler undertones and a silver pearl and frosted sheen. It had semi-opaque pigmentation dry and mostly opaque coverage damp. The texture was soft, smooth, and blendable. On me, it wore well for eight hours before creasing slightly.

MAC Sweet Illusion Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) is described as a “light color neutral.” It’s a light, rosy beige with warm undertones and a sparkling, metallic sheen. It had smei-sheer color payoff applied dry and mostly opaque coverage when applied damp. The texture was finely-milled, smooth, and easy to apply and blend out on the skin. It also lasted for eight hours like the other two eyeshadows did. The formula was very consistent on these! Too Faced Parfait (LE, $16.00) is less shimmery, lighter (95% similar). Morphe Obsessed (LE, ) is lighter (95% similar). MAC On the Hip Side (LE, ) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). NYX Girl Talk (P, $6.00) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). Urban Decay Sellout (DC, $19.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Chanel Tisse d'Automne #2 (P, ) is less shimmery, lighter (90% similar). MAC Fabulous Three #2 (LE, ) is warmer (90% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty The Starlet #2 (PiP, ) is less shimmery, darker (90% similar). MAC Summer Honey (LE, $21.00) is brighter (90% similar). ColourPop Mongrels (LE, $4.50) is lighter, warmer (90% similar). LORAC Champagne (PiP, $19.00) is less shimmery (90% similar). Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy (DC, $19.00) is lighter (90% similar). Milani Champagne Toast (P, $6.49) is brighter, warmer (85% similar). MAC Sweet Eyes (LE, $17.00) is less shimmery, lighter (85% similar). Marc Jacobs Beauty The Lover #2 (LE, ) is warmer (85% similar). Sephora Feather (PiP, ) is less shimmery, lighter, warmer (85% similar). MAC Last Dance (P, $18.00) is more shimmery, darker (85% similar). KVD Beauty Precious (LE, ) is less shimmery, darker (85% similar). Make Up For Ever I524 Pinky Beige (DC, $21.00) is less shimmery, darker (80% similar). Urban Decay Midnight Cowboy Rides Again (DC, $19.00) is less shimmery, darker (80% similar). MAC Foiled Eyeshadow ($20.00 for 0.07 oz.) can be used wet or dry and is supposed to have a luminous finish. I don’t have much more information about the formula than that, though, so I am making an assumption that they will be sheerer dry and more intense damp (which is how MAC has touted their wet/dry eyeshadow formulas in the past). That being said, when the collection launches online, I will go back and see if there are more specific claims and make any relevant updates at that time.

I am confused why MAC released so many at once. This seems to be their largest eyeshadow collection , limited edition, this year. Am I wrong? On second thought, LE Disko had a lot too.
Do you think Christine, you could do a round up of the must haves for people that can’t afford them all?I think it would be easier then to decide which ones to get as they all rated so highly. Perhaps categorize what would go best with different skin tones? Lol! I don’t know. I a, just bummed I can’t get them all

Oh! So beautiful! I agree with everyone else that Magic in your eyes is the most gorgeous but I just love them all… The texture seems so lovely and easy to work with. Can’t wait to see them in the store here in Amsterdam… Might take a while though :-/

Magic In Your Eyes looks very like Smoky Mauve from the Extra Dimension release a couple of years ago. I love that colour but find it difficult to match it up with others.

“Magic in Your Eyes” will be mine. I have never tried a foiled eyeshadow. I have many of the Nars Duo Intensity shadows, wonder if they are comparable. There are actually a few items from this collection I like, one of the beauty powders (not the pink one), a lipstick and a lipglass. Oh, December 26! Hoping Santa sends me gift cards, lol.

What numbering system are you using for CdP? The singles are numbered in the 100’s with the closest dupe likely being 106. Unless you’re using an old formulation?
