Look: Shades of Sparkling Lavender

EYES

I used a MAC 239 to apply all of the eyeshadows on the lid.  I started by applying MAC Sweet Illusion Foiled Eyeshadow on the inner third of lid, then layering MAC Feminine Wiles Foiled Eyeshadow on the middle third overlapping just a bit with the outer third.  I darkened the outer corner and crease area by applying MAC Magic In Your Eyes Foiled Eyeshadow with Wayne Goss Brush 13.  I blended Burberry Trench Eyeshadow above the crease and on the brow bone with the same crease brush.  I smudged Sephora My Boyfriend’s Jeans Eyeliner on the lower lash line and patted MAC Feminine Wiles Foiled Eyeshadow over it.  I wore Dior Diorshow Mascara on lashes.

FACE

After I finished applying my eye makeup, I applied a mix of Guerlain Parure Gold Foundation in 02 and 03 (about 2/3 and 1/3).  I applied Too Faced Justify My Love Love Flush Blush mixed with Too Faced Your Love is King Love Flush Blush onto the apples of cheeks used a flat blush brush.  I lightly tapped a tapered highlighting brush into MAC Sparkling Rose Iridescent Pressed Powder to highlight on the cheek bones, down the bridge of the nose, along the cupid’s bow, and below the center of the bottom lip. To set and buff everything in (I also toned down the cheek color I had on) with Guerlain Les Voilettes Loose Powder in 03.

LIPS

I applied Urban Decay Bittersweet Matte Revolution Lipstick all over lips, and then I patted on Too Faced Unicorn Tears La Creme lipstick.

I went by the MAC counter yesterday and put my presale in for those MAC shadows & the rest of the collection. The SA got it out for me. OMG. Wow,those are beautiful!

Wow, that purplish lipstick looks so good on you! I love the eye look. I enjoy seeing your looks where you don’t act as if there’s some rule against shimmery shadows near the crease 🙂

You look absolutely gorgeous and so radiant! I was wondering how Unicorn Tears would look as a topper and it’s so cool. Thank you for the fun post!

Sooo lovely!!!

I absolutely adore the bottom liner, you do wonders with “My Boyfriend’s Jeans” — I can never make it look as effortless on me as you are able to do! Just gorgeous. I really like the look of Unicorn Tears layered over the top of your lipstick — I keep telling myself I don’t need it, but I dunno now!

Love this look! 🙂

Thanks for showing Unicorn Tears as a topper –I can see how it adds a bluish shimmer and shine to the matte lipstick. I think it might be cool over a purple lipstick

Christine, this look is sooooo beautiful! Unicorn Tears over Bittersweet is a lovely combination. Thanks for showing us how Unicorn Tears as a topper. I ordered it, of course.

A trick to save a little money: If you put a product in your cart, but don’t check out and leave it, Too Faced will send you an email with a 10% off code if you buy within the next day or two. Actually, a lot of brands do that.

Christine, this is one of my favorite looks you’ve done! That liner with the soft pinky lavenders is just heavenly.
I have a small suggestion and a question.
I’ve noticed that whenever you line your eyes and apply shadow over it, that you keep it pretty thin and tight to the lashline. Which is a kind of look. But I think you would also look great with the shadow diffused a bit lower down. It also makes eyes look bigger.
These shadows seem a lot more metallic and sparkly than other foiled shadows. Do you find that to be the case? Thanks.

Abir Avatar

That makes sense. Since they’re called foiled shadows, I just assumed they were mainly a metallic finish. But they do look super sparkly.
I was comparing them to the makeup geek foiled shadows and the MUFE metallic and diamond finishes. But now I get that they’re not the same. Thanks.

You look absolutely gorgeous!!? I love how you don’t shy away from shimmer/glitter and bright colors, especially together! You’re one of the very few who I’ve seen (and follow) who’s style matches mine. You’re actually the reason why I started wearing blues, greens, purples, and teals. I loved those colors, but I was always hesistant to try them. But after I saw the different looks you’ve created, I couldn’t resist any longer! Now that’s all I wear 95% of the time!

I’m trying hard to find the best way to compliment but my eyes are set on the pics …
