Look: Shades of Sparkling Lavender
Shades of Sparkling Lavender
EYES
I used a MAC 239 to apply all of the eyeshadows on the lid. I started by applying MAC Sweet Illusion Foiled Eyeshadow on the inner third of lid, then layering MAC Feminine Wiles Foiled Eyeshadow on the middle third overlapping just a bit with the outer third. I darkened the outer corner and crease area by applying MAC Magic In Your Eyes Foiled Eyeshadow with Wayne Goss Brush 13. I blended Burberry Trench Eyeshadow above the crease and on the brow bone with the same crease brush. I smudged Sephora My Boyfriend’s Jeans Eyeliner on the lower lash line and patted MAC Feminine Wiles Foiled Eyeshadow over it. I wore Dior Diorshow Mascara on lashes.
FACE
After I finished applying my eye makeup, I applied a mix of Guerlain Parure Gold Foundation in 02 and 03 (about 2/3 and 1/3). I applied Too Faced Justify My Love Love Flush Blush mixed with Too Faced Your Love is King Love Flush Blush onto the apples of cheeks used a flat blush brush. I lightly tapped a tapered highlighting brush into MAC Sparkling Rose Iridescent Pressed Powder to highlight on the cheek bones, down the bridge of the nose, along the cupid’s bow, and below the center of the bottom lip. To set and buff everything in (I also toned down the cheek color I had on) with Guerlain Les Voilettes Loose Powder in 03.
LIPS
I applied Urban Decay Bittersweet Matte Revolution Lipstick all over lips, and then I patted on Too Faced Unicorn Tears La Creme lipstick.

This is so pretty. I love when you these looks! Your just gorgeous Christine!
I went by the MAC counter yesterday and put my presale in for those MAC shadows & the rest of the collection. The SA got it out for me. OMG. Wow,those are beautiful!
Thank you so much, Nicole! 🙂
This is a gorgeous look, Christine!
And I love your hair.
Thanks a lot, Amy!
Wow, that purplish lipstick looks so good on you! I love the eye look. I enjoy seeing your looks where you don’t act as if there’s some rule against shimmery shadows near the crease 🙂
You can definitely get more depth and dimension by mixing finishes, but I honestly don’t think all shimmer looks bad either!
Agree! I have deep set, slightly hood eyes, and everyone says absolutely no shimmers in the crease, but I do it more often than not. I think it all comes down to colors, placement, and application.
So pretty! The eye look would look great with any lip color, but I love that you went so bold and different with the lips!
Thanks so much, Melissa!
The full look took my breath away! So beautiful, Christine!
Aw, thank you Kathleen!
Such a festive look Christine! You look very sparkly and pretty! In particular, I love the lips. 🙂
Thank you, Padma!
You look absolutely gorgeous and so radiant! I was wondering how Unicorn Tears would look as a topper and it’s so cool. Thank you for the fun post!
No problem, Andrew! 😀
Hahahahah! Gorgeous. Is this Trench #2 or #3 for you? It must be one helluva crease shade for YOU to replace it!
I think it’s the second one for me! It just matches my skin color pretty well–just a little lighter than my natural color (around my eye area) and isn’t so matte that it turns chalky, which is where a lot of matte beiges fail for me!
VERY pretty look, Temptalia! Very soft baby doll like. The lippie combo is making me want Unicorn Tears even more now!!
Thank you so much 🙂
Your eye look is FAB!! Happy holidays!!
Thank you, Amy! Happy holidays to you!
Wow, such a pretty look! Makes a change from the Xmas looks at the moment ?.
Thanks, Claire!
Sooo lovely!!!
I absolutely adore the bottom liner, you do wonders with “My Boyfriend’s Jeans” — I can never make it look as effortless on me as you are able to do! Just gorgeous. I really like the look of Unicorn Tears layered over the top of your lipstick — I keep telling myself I don’t need it, but I dunno now!
Love this look! 🙂
I almost always smudge an eyeshadow over it, maybe that helps? 🙂
I’ll have to try that next time. I love the pearlescent pink Feminine Wiles over the top, I have some dupes in about the same color. Great tip! 🙂
Thanks for showing Unicorn Tears as a topper –I can see how it adds a bluish shimmer and shine to the matte lipstick. I think it might be cool over a purple lipstick
No problem, Katherine!
Christine that is a beautiful, feminine and ethereal look – I love it!!!
Thank you, Pami! <3
OMG!!! I love this icy, wintry goodness on you! So cool, literally!
Now I’m going to need ALL 3 eyeshadows! And Unicorn Tears, too!
???
Yay! So glad you liked it, Nancy!
As they say ” There goes the neighborhood! ” 😉
You look amazing!! It is wonderful of you to share the products you have used in a certain look. This is beautiful : )
Thank you, Deborah!
That’s a whole lot of glow! I love the eye look though!
Thanks, Erin!
Christine, this look is sooooo beautiful! Unicorn Tears over Bittersweet is a lovely combination. Thanks for showing us how Unicorn Tears as a topper. I ordered it, of course.
A trick to save a little money: If you put a product in your cart, but don’t check out and leave it, Too Faced will send you an email with a 10% off code if you buy within the next day or two. Actually, a lot of brands do that.
Great tip, Rachel! 😀
Really lovely eye colours Christine -they are beautiful. And it so suits you.
Thanks so much, Genevieve!
Absolutely gorgeous! Love the lips with the sparkly eyes.
Thanks, Lisa!
Christine, this is one of my favorite looks you’ve done! That liner with the soft pinky lavenders is just heavenly.
I have a small suggestion and a question.
I’ve noticed that whenever you line your eyes and apply shadow over it, that you keep it pretty thin and tight to the lashline. Which is a kind of look. But I think you would also look great with the shadow diffused a bit lower down. It also makes eyes look bigger.
These shadows seem a lot more metallic and sparkly than other foiled shadows. Do you find that to be the case? Thanks.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I’m not sure what formulas you’re referring to, but they’re not very metallic, IMO. They are sparkly/shimmery, but most of the shades aren’t metallic to me.
That makes sense. Since they’re called foiled shadows, I just assumed they were mainly a metallic finish. But they do look super sparkly.
I was comparing them to the makeup geek foiled shadows and the MUFE metallic and diamond finishes. But now I get that they’re not the same. Thanks.
No problem! They would be more like the MUFE formula than MUG – MUG is SUPER dense/soft. MUFE is still denser (firmer) with a more cream-like finish as well. These feel a lot like a regular powder eyeshadow, just very luminous!
You look absolutely gorgeous!!? I love how you don’t shy away from shimmer/glitter and bright colors, especially together! You’re one of the very few who I’ve seen (and follow) who’s style matches mine. You’re actually the reason why I started wearing blues, greens, purples, and teals. I loved those colors, but I was always hesistant to try them. But after I saw the different looks you’ve created, I couldn’t resist any longer! Now that’s all I wear 95% of the time!
Awwww! That is so cool, Vanessa. I’m so glad you gave more colors a chance 😀
I’m trying hard to find the best way to compliment but my eyes are set on the pics …
very beautiful girly mermaid look and something even we can try 🙂
you did an awesome job Christine
Aw, thank you Rashmi!
