MAC Florescence, Twinkle Twink, Gilded Age Grand Illusion Liquid Lipcolours Reviews, Photos, Swatches

Florescence
MAC Florescence Grand Illusion Liquid Lipcolour ($21.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a bright, golden yellow with fine, gold pearl. This one didn’t seem holographic to me–metallic and high-shine, yes–and was one of those lip products that looks really pretty in the tube and swatched but did not translate well on the lips. It had medium coverage, so the natural lip color came through and muted the brightness of the color and gave it an almost greenish cast. It applied unevely and pulled into every single lip line I had. The texture felt smooth but developed a lot of tackiness and felt a little gluey on. The tingling sensation was present for 25 minutes, and the gloss itself lasted for four hours on me but was neither drying nor hydrating.

Formula Overview
$21.00/0.17 oz. - $123.53 Per Ounce
The formula is supposed to "wear evenly" with "megawatt colour" and have a "tingly, cooling sensation" that makes lips "fuller." The coverage ranged from shade to shade, though most were fairly pigmented, and some seemed more multidimensional than others (they seemed just shimmery/pearly). Some shades applied evenly while others were more uneven or pulled into lip lines.
The finish had a lot of shine and shimmer, so any unevenness/settling wasn't as apparent in person as it might appear in close-up photos. The consistency was smooth as it applied and developed a lot of tackiness within a minute or so of application, and the tingling lasted noticeably for 20-25 minutes on me. The glosses lasted between four and five hours on me and were comfortable to wear but was mostly non-drying.
They have a sweet, mint scent and subtle tingle and almost seemed to have a slightly sweet taste, but I couldn't tell as I felt like I was breathing in the sweet mint a bit from the scent alone.

Twinkle Twink
MAC Twinkle Twink Grand Illusion Liquid Lipcolour ($21.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a bright, medium orange with warm undertones and lighter orange and peach pearl. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied somewhat evenly, but the gloss settled into my lip lines, though the shiny finish made it less noticeable from a normal viewing distance. The gloss was medium in weight with a fair amount of tackiness, so it may not be for everyone just from a texture standpoint. It wore well for four and a half hours and was non-drying. The tingling sensation was noticeable for 25 minutes.

Gilded Age
MAC Gilded Age Grand Illusion Liquid Lipcolour ($21.00 for 0.17 oz.) is a rich, coppery brown with warm, red undertones and lighter gold, copper, and bronze pearl. It had a high-shine, metallic finish that appeared lighter and darker as the light reflected off the shimmer, but it didn’t see holographic to my eye. The consistency was smooth and easy to spread across the lips, and it didn’t seem to emphasize my lip lines like some of the other shades have in this formula. It had opaque coverage that wore well for five hours and was neither drying nor hydrating. The tingling sensation was noticeable for 20 minutes.

Twink Twink and Gilded Age are stunning!
Gilded Age is quite nice.
Gilded Age may not be holographic, per session, but it sure does look the best of the 3! An added plus is that it seems to scream “Autumn!”.
Twinkle Twink I could see using as a topper, perhaps. But as a standalone lip color, it just looks to be a bit too yellow toned for it to be flattering on me personally.
Florescence? ?
Love and adore the Gilded Cage shade – so stunning!
Gilded Age is such a stunning, beautiful shade. Love it!
Gilded Age looks stunning on you!!!
Gilded Age is so perfect with your eye look, would probably work with many autumnal and metallic eye looks as well. I particularly like the red undertone it has.
