MAC Embrace Me Lipglass Review, Photos, Swatches

MAC Embrace Me Lipglass ($15.00 for 0.17 fl. oz.) is described as “bright fuchsia.” It’s a medium fuchsia-pink with fuchsia micro-shimmer–it is a redder fuchsia compared to the lipstick. MAC Girl About Town is darker. MAC Full Speed Ahead is less fuchsia, no shimmer. I didn’t feel like anything was all that similar.

It had semi-opaque color coverage; it added a lot of color but still allowed the natural lip color to come through. If you have a redder natural lip color, I would expect this to look and “turn” redder as a result. Embrace Me applied mostly evenly though there was some minor settling into lip lines. It did have a tendency to bunch up somewhat, but it was not as noticeable as it has been in other Lipglasses (especially the lighter ones).  The consistency is on the thicker side, and it is tacky, as Lipglass is known to be. This shade wore for four hours well.

I am certain that I can pull off the lipglass by itself for work. I love the bold colors, but I try to give my face a makeup rest on weekends (unless I am doing something awesome) so I think that it would be too bold for work. I am all over the lipglasses though! Thanks for showing us what they look like alone and with the pencil.
