MAC Daydreaming Eyeshadow Review, Photos, Swatches
MAC Daydreaming Eyeshadow
MAC Daydreaming Eyeshadow ($15.00 for 0.10 oz.) is described as a “frosted mid-tone coral [with a] veluxe pearl [finish].” It’s a brightened, coral-red with a smooth, frosted sheen and warm, orange-y undertones. Guerlain Terra Azzurra #3 is lighter, less intense. Urban Decay Free Love is lighter and has a golden sheen. MAC Raving Mad is more subdued, less warm-toned. MAC Spicy Smoke is darker, redder, and it is most similar when blended out.
Daydreaming is an online-exclusive from the MAC x Hayley Williams collaboration, which is supposed to launch on April 9th (but hardcore fans may want to start stalking a little earlier). It had good color payoff, and it blended to a smooth finish, but the texture was slightly dry (and not quite as buttery/dense as the very best of the veluxe pearl formula). Based on my experience with MAC eyeshadows, they typically wear around eight hours with no creasing and little to no fading (and shades like this tend not to fade; it’s only the more powdery, sheerer shades that sometimes do).

it’s really looks like firecracker from to the beach collection!
I thought exactly the same thing!
How does this compare to MAC Coppering? Looks super similar and they’re the same finish
Coppering is really orange/copper! http://www.temptalia.com/mac-eyeshadow-swatches-reds-pinks-oranges
How does this compare to Firecracker from To the Beach?
Firecracker seems lighter, more orange, less red/coral – http://www.temptalia.com/mac-to-the-beach-collection-eyeshadows-review-photos-swatches
Any similarity to Hot Hot Hot or Sunsplosion?
I can’t remember what Sunsplosion looks like, and I don’t think I own it (I tried to look through my inventory list as well as searched the site and nothing turned up). Hot Hot Hot is a bit more orange and less frosted/shimmery.
I can’t tell if this is quite similar to MAC Firecracker from Mac to the Beach
Oops sorry!
This looks nice! I should show this page to my mom – she loves colors like that!
This shade does absolutely nothing for me, personally, but I can see this working for many, especially those with medium-deeper, warmer skintones. It may also be a nice alternative for those not quite comfortable wearing a “true” red.
Love the color but I don’t know how to wear this… Might look for some inspiration before purchase.
Any general idea how much earlier these might be up online? I’m going to see paramore in May and would love to get the eye shadow and lipstick before they sell out.
Do you have any of MAC’s old pigments? This reminds me of one of my first eyeshadows (which was a pigment) that looks similar in color to this.
You’d have to be more specific! I think MAC has had 100+ pigments 🙂
It’s called Melon!
It’s nothing like melon.
I am excited. I just ordered this. Hope it looks amazing on my skin tone (nc 45)
Hey christine.. how does this compare to paradisco? thankyou!!
Darker, redder!
Hi Christine, How is this DayDreaming Eyeshadow different to FREE TO BE please?
Is free to be less orangey?
Many Thanks 🙂
Free to Be is pinker and more matte.
I have this, it’s beautiful I would say get 2, it’s that pretty
Just ordered this! I can’t wait till it arrives to try it out. I love the shade.
Yes, just ordered it! Hopefully it will look good on blue eyes and an nc15 skintone?
Does this shadow have gold sparkle? Or is it silver?
More like white but it doesn’t really have sparkle.
